Amish Country Blue Popcorn - 2lb.
This popcorn pos medium to large, has its own flavor, yet it's actually a little sweeter. Lately, it has been becoming many people's favorite. This is a low hull corn.
Customer Review: Great popcorn
If you have false teeth and don't eat popcorn because of kernels hulls getting under your plate, or if you have regular teeth that they get stuck in-between, then this popcorn is for you. It's smaller then the avaerage popped corn, however, it's tasty and no stuck pieces between your teeth or under your plates. I rate this cor, a 5 star. I used an air popper for this popcorn.
Customer Review: Not very Blue
The popcorn tasted alright, but it wasn't blue as I thought it was going to be. If you're expecting blue tortilla chip blue, it's yellow inside.

Customer Review: Great Product
We just ordered this fountain and have been very happy with it. It's only been about a month so we are hoping it holds up long-term but so far it has been great. We have two cats that use it...they had a Cat-it dome fountain which broke and was loud. This fountain has three great features: very quiet, holds a lot of water, and easy to fill/clean. I bought the cleaning kit but probably didn't need to, unless you have really big hands the fountain is big enough to clean easily with a sponge. Overall, great purchase.
Customer Review: A Must-Have!
If you have the Drinkwell Platinum Fountain, you must-have the replacement filters! Easy to change and easy to install.

It came with a pretty serving plate and had a nice assortment. The food all tasted fresh, and my parents really enjoyed it. As far as I'm concerned that makes this a great basket.

Customer Review: Mighty Muesli
Very good price on a healthy product. The convenience of having it shipped to my door is great.
Customer Review: 10 pounds of healthy breakfast
This is the real deal. I douse it with unsweetened soy milk, and chew it up prior to my coffee so I'm only half awake at the time. If at least one of my meals is healthy, and more than palatable, good deal. Forget the unsweetened claims, there's plenty of dried fruit. But otherwise, as a low-fat, high fiber, burn-some-calories-chewing food, it does good. I don't soak it long enough, so it is gnarly to chew up, especially when I need to eat fast to catch the bus - an adventure in the morning! Why does the label claim servings are an ounce? That would make these 10 lbs last 160 breakfasts, I'm sure my serving is 4X bigger. I also recommend Oat Cuisine of Alameda, CA for granola.

Customer Review: Organic and Yummy
I reordered on this product. They are great in the morning. I make a real meal by topping them with blueberries, slivered almonds, dash of cinnamon...add soy milk. Woohhhooo! The only criticism is the 18 oz. I would like larger canisters of 32 oz or larger of this brand.
Customer Review: Better than the big brand name oatmeal
Really light even color, no gray pieces or unhulled oats. Aroma very nice. Creamy texture. Same nutritional values as the big brand. Price is the only reason for not giving 5 stars.

Live by the Bay [VHS]
Customer Review: Laziness to release this on DVD speaks volumes
That Jimmy is slow and uninterested in releasing this on DVD (as well as Tales from Margaritaville) says a lot about how little he cares about his fans. In fact, most of his earlier albums greatly need remastering, and although he earns millions of dollars a year, he doesn't bother to do anything about this. It's a shame that most fans don't see this, and Jimmy doesn't either. Blind worship? As far as the concert goes, it's fairly good. It does suffer some though from the time period (fluff songs like If the Phone Doesn't Ring It's Me, etc) and low lighting.
Customer Review: The Best Live Performance caught on video! DVD this NOW
I have seen Buffett so many times and have most of his CD's and this concert on video is the ONE he should digitally re-master and put on DVD. The performance was great and the venue was true party in paradise (Miami) right by the water. Babes, Boats and Booze; Buffett, my man! give us what we want not what Buffett, Inc thinks we want! Put this on DVD.

Best of the Red Army Choir
Customer Review: Best in the World
Once again the Alexandrov Red Army Choir have excelled. The DVD I also have is a joy. Having seen the Choir in The Royal Albert Hall in the 1960's I wondered whether they could be as good as their predecessors...They were!!, if not better than I remember. Vasili Chtevoutsa is brilliant as he was on the DVD. Sadly, Vadim Ananiev does not appear on this CD as he did on the DVD. He too has the most amazing voice. Really my most prized possesion. It was good to see that Yevegeni Belaiev appears on the disc. Saw him at the concert in the '60's. Good luck to them all. Hope to see them in the UK as soon as possible.
Customer Review: ONE OF THE BEST - HEAR! HEAR!
Gave this one as a gift, and received a rave review from recipient. I heard it too, and second the motion.

Customer Review: too big and too powerful
Vibration on the low setting is too strong for my purpose. My mom loves it and gives it 5 stars.
Customer Review: Provides magical relief for burn pain
We originally bought this massager as a sex toy. However, one day I burned myself and was in a lot of pain. I thought a distraction might help so I asked my wife to apply the magic wand to my feet. Amazingly the burning pain disappeared. She took the magic wand off and the burn pain came back. We tried the experiment serveral times with the same results. Eventually we just held the wand there for 15 minutes and after removing it the burning pain was gone. I asked my doctor about this and he said perhaps the magic wand was generating so much stimulation that the brain couldn't process it all and consequently it wasn't processing the burn pain. I am wondering just how many types of pain this will work on and if it can sometimes act as a substitude for addictive pain killers.

Lucky Country Licorice, Strawberry, 16-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 4)
Customer Review: Off-brand badness
For a licorice addict this will do, but it isn't any better than Twizzlers, and might be worse.
Customer Review: Made in the US version, not the same recipe as Imported from Austrailia version
I thought, wow, bulk Lucky Country Red Licorice, sweet, but alas no, it is a mass produced Americanized version from Lucky Country's new US manufacturing plant. The recipe is completely different from the Lucky Country Red Licorice (same brand, same name) that is Imported from Australia. The original recipe has more real licorice despite being a red licorice, and is much softer. The Made in US version is your typical chewy waxy candy licorice with barely a hint of licorice, just pure sweet. Shame on Lucky Country for taking a high end sophisticated product and watering it down like every licorice sold in every drug store in the US. I'm heading back to Target or Trader Joe's for the real thing.

Country Time Strawberry Lemonade, 18-Ounce Canisters (Pack of 6)
Customer Review: Tasty and Refreshing!
We like lemonade. Adding this flavorful variety is a real treat! We have been cutting back on sodas by drinking lemonade. I love that I'm able to sign up for regular deliveries...it will always be in my cupboard when we need it. The only drawback is the container design.... it's hard to scoop out of container with it's narrowing top.
Customer Review: Grandkids loved it!
The mix was tasty and a great alternative to soda. Easy to mix up in various size containers. The cans are reusable as storage containers for small toys, parts, etc. Signed up for subscribe and save to make sure it kept coming, especially in summer.

Pure Country
Customer Review: fast and complete
item was purchased just before x-mas, and was prossesed and delivered exactly when they quoted me. I will do business with them again...
Customer Review: A PURE COUNTRY Talent....
Charly McClain is the most overlooked artist in country music history. And that is such a shame, cause her music is the best in my opinion. This cd is one that is great for a first time listener to Charly's music. It showcases some of her earlier EPIC (CBS) recordings, as the pop-ish song "Sleepin' With The Radio On," "The Very Best Is you," "Sentimental Ol' You" "Paradise Tonight" a #1 duet in 1983 with another great country artist, Mickey Gilley. "When A Love Ain't Right" "Dancin' Your memory Away" 1980's #1 song and Album, "Who's Cheatin' Who," later redone by A.J. Charly's version is the better of the two, cause no one does that song better than the original artist herself. "That's What You Do To me," and last but certainly not the least, "Surround Me With Love," a great song, and a great album. A song that Charly always dedicated to her parents, Niles and Virginia. This CD makes me happy we all have something this GOOD from a wonderfully talanted and beautiful female artist like Charly McClain! The Cd is well worth listening too.

Customer Review: product gets 5 stars, cat gets 1 star
I give this product 5 stars but my cat gets 1 star,I left the fountain going for two weeks and she still would'nt drink from it.She likes drinking from the bathroon faucet. She appears to be stubborn.
Customer Review: Slave to my Cats
I purchased a Drinkwell Platinum fountain a few months ago and am happy to report that my three cats love it. They took to it right away (and these cats had never drunk from a faucet). We have it set up in our kitchen on a hardwood floor with a couple of hand towels underneath it to catch stray water splashes. I occasionally hear a slight hum, but it's not very noticeable. NOTE: I HAVE TO CLEAN THE FOUNTAIN ONCE PER WEEK or it gets slimy. It takes about 5 minutes to wash it by hand, reassemble it, and refill it with water. So far, I am very please with the product.

Customer Review: Great bike rack
This bike rack works great for my Honda Civic. I had a hard time finding the right one, but this is it. It was inexpensive and fairly easy to get set up the first time. Now it goes on and off my car quickly and fits one bike great. I think you could easily get two bikes on, but three is a definite stretch unless you take the pedals off or don't mind scratching your bike a bit.
Customer Review: Fits great on the 05 Civic Coupe
Although the tie-downs are a bit on the long side, this fits great on my son's Honda Civic - it allows him to take off for the 18-mile RiverWalk path or the memorial park any time he wants; he can even take along a bike for a friend. It is sturdy and takes only a few minutes to put on or remove. We are VERY happy with this purchase!

Amish Country Lady Finger Popcorn - 2lb.
This old open pollinated variety is also sometimes called Tom Thumb. If you like small, hulless, tender popcorn, you definitely will want to try this one!
Customer Review: Very Small
This is good popcorn, but it is very small so you need to make twice as much as you normally would.
Customer Review: Amish Country Lady Finger Popcorn - 2lb.
My wife says that I can cook two things - omelettes and popcorn...with popcorn being my best. We have always used popcorn from the grocery store but the Amish Country Lady Finger Popcorn is so far superior to the store bought. The flavor was so good you did not have to use butter and it was a delight to eat, both in taste and texture. The husk of the corn seemed to disappear and left almost nothing that you had to dig out from between you teeth. I give this product FIVE STARS. I look forward to trying the other style of popcorn they offer.

Amish Country Baby White Popcorn - 6lb.
Baby White ... Extra Small & Tender. This small white is one of the smallest and most tender kernels. It resembles an old variety called the Japanese hulless. It comes from separating the smaller kernels from our medium white. Great tasting and tender!
Customer Review: fabulous popcorn
There are very seldom any unpopped kernels, which is nice and the flavor is wonderful. Not a whole lot to say about popcorn. I always buy from you guys and will continue to.
Customer Review: Delicious Popcorn
This is delicious popcorn -- lost a star because I use a hot air popper and many of them "jump" out before popping. Great flavor, great texture - tender. I do not add anything even though I have purchased three different flavored toppings. Thanks,

Country Time Lemonade On-the-Go Packets, 10-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)
Customer Review: super drink
I was glad to be able to find this product on Amazon. My 5 year old son loves lemonade and country time is the only one he will drink. I hope you continue to carry this product. I was wondering if you could carry pink lemonade.
Customer Review: Lemonade at its best
Nice crisp taste with none of the after taste like some of the other brands. Totally refreshing.

Eastbay 1/2 Split Short - Men's
100% polyester with "wicking", polyester crepe liner, elastic waistband with drawcord. Imported.
Customer Review: Great Shorts
Great shorts, great price and quick ship. If it had a pocket, it would be 5 stars.
Customer Review: Nice workout shorts!
I like to call these "modified" dolphin shorts. Modified meaning 1.)No white stripe at the fabric edges. 2.)The sides are up higher and sewn only from the waistline down to where the inner liner comes down at the sides of your legs with (I hope this makes sense!). They are quite short but they're designed for running. They are also very light. I probably won't wear these to the water park since if you go down the slides, the shorts may ride up when you splash down! Another negative: no pocket! However, these are nice for working out in the gym, doing various exercises. These shorts will NOT restrict movement!

Blue Country Heart
Singer and guitarist extraordinaire Jorma Kaukonen was a devoted aficionado of early-20th-century rural music long before he cofounded Jefferson Airplane in 1965 and Hot Tuna some years later. On his new solo album, Kaukonen has found an imaginative setting to remind listeners how a fusion of styles and influences from both black and white musicians defined American country music in its formative decades. Included here are gems, both familiar and obscure, by the likes of Jimmie Rodgers, the Delmore Brothers, Jimmie Davis, Cliff Carlisle, and other country musicians who were clearly inspired by their blues cousins. Backed by the Nashville All-Stars, a supersonic string band comprising bluegrass masters Sam Bush (mandolin), Jerry Douglas (Dobro), Béla Fleck (banjo), and Byron House (stand-up bass), all playing on vintage 1920s and '30s acoustic instruments, Kaukonen revives and vividly reinterprets these blues-drenched country classics for a new generation of listeners. --Bob Allen
Customer Review: Picker
This CD is outstanding. Jorma at his best. I really think he has aged like fine wine that just gets better over time.
Customer Review: American Beauty
When the Grateful Dead released American Beauty, they shocked a lot of us psychedelic rockers. After several listenings, though, the music was just so good my friends and I couldn't help but fall in love with it. I believe American Beauty has become the Dead's best selling album over a 44-year career. That's how Blue Country Heart is for me. It was the Dead's American Beauty that opened my mind (and heart) to much more music...paved the way to enjoy CDs like Jorma's Blue Country Heart. And just like American Beauty, I like this CD more each time I listen to it. I find that when I need a warm, bright, audial friend, I'm most likely to grab this CD or Quah (which is Gordon Lightfootish in all the best ways). And, perhaps, what places Blue Country Heart ahead of American Beauty, is Jorma's voice, which is as affective as his guitar licks. Overall, Blue Country Heart is a bit softer and slightly repetitive compared with American Beauty--but it's a heart-opener every time--and great whether playing in the background, in the car, or through earbuds. Blue Country Heart is beautiful Americana through the masterful talent of Jorma Kaukonen; but, it's also feelings and imagery through a special human being. Thanks, Jorma.

Customer Review: Really nice flavor
I tried the Quaker brand of bars and thought they were way too dry. I ordered these to try and I'm glad I did. They are on the dry side but not as much as the Quaker. As I'll eat most anything lemon flavored the flavor is really nice without being over powering. I'll be ordering again.
Customer Review: Great taste
This bar tastes so great. I had a subscription on this product and Amazon ran out for a while because it was so popular. I love it with coffee. I didn't feel like it was dry. I've tried a lot of health bars and snack bars and this is one of my favorites.

Campbell Chunky Soup, Sirloin Burger with Country Vegetables, 10.75-Ounce Units (Pack of 12)
Customer Review: Good Stuff!
Great soup...I sometimes eat one for lunch when I am feeling like I need something filling. Other reviewer is right...much cheaper at Wal-Mart...that said, Amazon is shipping it to me on their dime. This stuff is heavy. 5 stars for the product with a 1 star ding for the cost due to shipping...
Customer Review: 1.55 @ Walmart for 18.5 oz
Seriously. 10.5 oz cans?? 1.86 a peice? .18 an ounce, man. ripoff.

Country Club
In true honky tonk style, Country Club is the bastard child of a drunken
promise. A post show hang-out between X & the Knitters John Doe
and The Sadies produced the idea to join forces to a make an album of country songs. Both rock n roll and country music are littered with the ghosts of broken promises, but this one was destined to become reality. Timeless sounds abound on Country Club, driven by Doe s gorgeously rough-hewn vocals, the dueling thousand pound chops of the guitar-wielding Good brothers and The Sadies world class rhythm section of Mike Belitsky and Sean Dean. Here,
the Countrypolitan sound of late 1960s Nashville is filtered through the telecaster-based honky tonk of Bakersfield, CA and the results are simply stunning. Classic tunes by Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings stand alongside corkers by Tammy
Wynette and Roger Miller, all of them getting unique treatments by Doe and The Sadies. The album also features four originals - three from The Sadies and one courtesy of the timeless pairing of John Doe and Exene Cervenka. On Country Club John Doe and The Sadies find the perfect blend of the reverent and the experimental, resulting in a slightly psychedelic
brew that just might pass for straight if you re not lookin .
Customer Review: What The Knitters was to X, this is to The Knitters.
I have a soft spot for some country music covers. This is interesting. John Doe is Americana. The songs are taken seriously. It's not a parody. These songs are given their due in a heartfelt manner. Might I suggest, if you like this, Robbie Fulks' "13 Hillbilly Giants" is awesome and Gram Parsons/Flying Burrito Brothers "Sleepless Nights" is the best.
Customer Review: Awesome!!!
This is an incredible album. My first John Doe purchase since "Meet John Doe". It'll be in my player very often.

This efficient mower owes its robust performance to a 32-amp, 240-watt-hour, 24-volt permanent magnet battery that’s both removable and sealed. The battery provides an impressive 45-60-minute run time per charge, depending on grass conditions. The CE 5.2 also offers versatile three-in-one cutting options and includes a rear grass bag (which holds one full bushel of clippings), a side discharge chute, and a mulching plug.

Lightweight for Easy Pushing, Adjustable Height for Greater Flexibility
Easy to operate, the CE 5.2 weighs just 48 pounds, so you won’t struggle to push it across your lawn. Additionally, a single-touch height-adjustment lever raises and lowers the cutting blade from 1.2 inches to 3.0 inches, giving you great flexibility.

14-Inch Cutting Width for Better Control and Great Results
Equipped with seven-inch front wheels and eight-inch rear wheels, the CE 5.2 is stable and sturdy, even when mowing around trees or shrubs or on rugged terrain. Its 14-inch cutting width lets you power through your lawn, leaving only manicured grass behind.

Truly Quiet Operation for More Enjoyable Yard Work
Because it runs on a battery, the CE 5.2 boasts a quiet running noise of less than 80 DbA. The low noise level makes operation more pleasant for both you and your neighbors. You might even be able to ditch those ear plugs for good!

Cost-Effective Design Saves You Money
The CE 5.2 saves you money year after year thanks to its low operating costs. The estimated cost to operate a gas mower (including gasoline, oil, spark plugs, filters, and tune-ups) for four years is as much as $260.00. The costs of recharging the battery over four years of mowing 28 times per year with a Neuton Mower is approximately $11.20. That's a huge savings!

Ready to Go Right Out of the Box
With the CE 5.2, you don’t have to wait to mow. It arrives with everything you need to get started right away, including the battery, battery charger, and rear grass-collection bag.

Optional Accessories for All-in-One Yard Maintenance
Neuton Mowers have attachments and accessories that give you options other mowers simply can’t. For instance, the optional Trimmer/Edger Attachment eliminates the need for a second piece of equipment and gives your yard and walkways a beautiful, clean finish. And for longer running time, you can also purchase an optional Spare Battery (model 178781).

The CE 5.2 measures 18 x 30 x 37 inches (WxHxD), weighs 48 pounds, and comes with a two-year limited warranty.

Customer Review: The only mower I will ever use
Terrific product. I love it. Got two batteries with it, but have never had to use two in order to finish my lawn. I'm using it on mulching mode and feel very good about that rather than putting clippings into the city's garbage. I have good luck with it as long as I don't try to rush. I just push and pull and it works great. I agree that the edger isn't totally satisfactory, but it is very easy to put on, use, and remove. My dad has had one of these for many years and still uses it and loves it. (He is in his eighties.) I find mowing pure pleasure now. Before I hated all the hassle and especially yanking the cord to get the stinky things started. This is a good, well-established company, too. Oh, and it is quiet!!
Customer Review: Good Mower
I have owned this mower for over a year now. I have two large lawns including an area for my dog run which gets high sometimes because I don't mow every week. The major reason I considered buying an electric mower was that the gas rotary mowers I have owned always were hard to start after the Winter season. I saw an ad for the Neuton and a cordless electric seemed attractive. No cord to run over or move around. RATING DETAILS Here is where the Neuton earned points: 1) Its starts every time. 2) Its environmentally friendly. No exhaust and no noise. 3) Its lighter than my old steel gas mower (slightly). 4) No leaking fluids when you want to turn it over to clean or maintain the blade. 5) Not that I don't own and like many foreign produced items, but this is made in America (Vermont). It feels good to me to support our domestic market! Here is where the Neuton lost a few points: 1) After the first year the battery seems to be losing some of its charging capacity. Where I used to get an hour and a half's life on a full charge, now I get maybe an hour. Note this is a lead/acid battery and not a more high tech variety. 2) The trimmer attachment works, but its not really that maneuverable. Keep your corded electric string trimmer and pass on the too expensive trimmer attachment. 3) It takes me two days to mow all my grass. Seriously consider buying the extra battery if you have a lot of lawn to cut. 4) If you expect this mower to be as robust as your gas rotary model, you will probably be disappointed. But since the gas mowers where I live no longer come with a variable throttle, you don't really lose that much power. I see Neuton has a newer, more powerful version now. I would probably have purchased that one if it were available at the time. Over-all I am happy with the purchase.

Campbell Chunky Beef With Country Vegetables, 15.25-Ounce Microwavable Containers (Pack of 8)
Customer Review: ok
It's ok, plenty of veggies but it needs more pepper or something to bring out some more flavor. A bit on the bland side.
Customer Review: Best of the Chunky Beefs. Tasty and filling.
Campbell's "CHUNKY Beef with Country Vegetables" is the best of the beef soups - a meal in a bowl, like beef stew. Shelf stable, so can sit around indefinately, ready for an emergency meal. We keep a case of this at our cabin. Not too salty, either, as soups usually are. It has 300 calories, 3.0 grams fat (no trans fat,) 42 carbs, 20 grams protein, 10 grams fiber, a perfect meal. Yes, it makes popping noises as it heats in the microwave, but the red lid is well vented, and there is no mess. Just give the hot soup a good stir and ENJOY!

Totally Country, Vol. 6
Customer Review: Just barely made it
I've made a dedication to myself to collect each and every single totally country album. It was vol. 3 that got me started. All the beforeward and afterward records seemed pretty good. But this once was purchased by me by the skin of its teeth. Where's Rascle Flatts? Where's Eric Church? Where's Trent Tomilson? The only songs to me that really made me think about buying it would have to be "8th of November" from Big & Rich, "Mountains" from Lonestar, and "Last Day of My Life" from Phil Vassar. The rest of the songs were either horrible or not very good. Seriously, "Don't Forget to Remember Me" from Carrie Underwood is all played out! I mean, back when it was on the charts, that damn songs was coming on the radio all the time! If they could have put "Jesus Take the Wheel" on there instead then I would have been happy. Faith Hill "Sunshine and Summertime" is exactly the same way. If she could put a little less effort into making it bright and upbeat, then maybe it would be a decent song. We all know Gary Allan felt his wife's suicide when he recorded the song "Life Ain't Always Beautiful". I mean seriously, if you hear the song a little too much, you'll go into a deep depression that will last years! For the most part, these songs come on the radio too often. The other totally country albums included some monster hits along with other songs that never made it too far, which is a good mix. But most of this CD is just worn out radio tunes. It's not worth the 14.99 I had to pay for at Wal-mart, but the only reason I got it is because I wanted to have the entire set.
Customer Review: If you don't know which artists to buy...
... then buy this CD. I like country but I'm not country crazy. So I wanted to buy some music but had no idea about any of the artists' music except what I was hearing on the radio. This was a pretty good solution to my problem. You get the best of the country songs that they play on the radio instead of buying a particular artist's CD with only one song that you know. You really can't go wrong with these mix CDs.

Star Trek VI - The Undiscovered Country [VHS]
Star Trek V left us nowhere to go but up, and with the return of Star Trek II director Nicholas Meyer, Star Trek VI restored the movie series to its classic blend of space opera, intelligent plotting, and engaging interaction of stalwart heroes and menacing villains. Borrowing its subtitle (and several lines of dialogue) from Shakespeare, the movie finds Admiral Kirk (William Shatner) and his fellow Enterprise crew members on a diplomatic mission to negotiate peace with the revered Klingon Chancellor Gorkon (David Warner). When the high-ranking Klingon and several officers are ruthlessly murdered, blame is placed on Kirk, whose subsequent investigation uncovers an assassination plot masterminded by the nefarious Klingon General Chang (Christopher Plummer) in an effort to disrupt a historic peace summit. As this political plot unfolds, Star Trek VI takes on a sharp-edged tone, with Kirk and Spock confronting their opposing views of diplomacy, and testing their bonds of loyalty when a Vulcan officer is revealed to be a traitor. With a dramatic depth befitting what was to be the final movie mission of the original Star Trek crew, this film took the veteran cast out in respectably high style. With the torch being passed to the crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation, only Kirk, Scotty, and Chekov would return, however briefly, in Star Trek: Generations. --Jeff Shannon
Customer Review: Decent Ending
As I mentioned earlier, the "Golden Years" of Star Trek were from 1979-1986. The Undiscovered Country is by far the best Trek movie released after 1986. However, the movie does have some faults. Many flaws are exposed when you watch the movie a second. By this I mean that some things simply do not hold up under closer scrutiny. All in all, TUC was a decent way to end the original TOS films.
Customer Review: Star Trek VI: Chernobyl in Space
This one literally starts off with a bang. The story then hits the pavement with the tires at full speed. Echoing the tense relationship between the US and the USSR towards the end of the Cold War, this one has a lot of very personal resonance for anyone who remembers those times. Klingon High Chancellor Gorkon was even named by combining the names of Gorbachev and Lincoln. The metaphor here presented shows the dangers of prejudice even with the threat of peace. Note the incredibly charged statements by even the Federation "good guy" characters as they have a hard time accepting that this long-standing conflict may be coming to a kind of end. In fact, the statements that are made by Admiral Cartwright took Brock Peters several takes to get through because they were so offensive to him. He understood the need to get them out, though, because the movie only really works when you are forced to re-evaluate your assumptions: that we are the good guys and "they" are the bad guys. There are some great action sequences and some wonderful (for the time) special effects. But it is the story that is just superb and that does not age the same way all other aspects of the movie do. It is still as poignant today as it was when it came out. Marvelous movie. Get the DVD.

Country Ghetto
Within the soul-drenched music of northern Florida's JJ Grey and band, the roots run as deep as the influences are indelible. "War" and "By My Side" sound like Southern-fried Sly and the Family Stone. "Turpentine" recalls the swamp funk of Tony Joe White. Both "A Woman" and "The Sun Is Shining Down" suggest long-lost Otis Redding sessions in Muscle Shoals, while "Mississippi" takes Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" on a trip down to the delta. From the harmonica-laced country blues of the title track to the gospel piano and choir of "On Palestine," Grey's music compensates with conviction for what it lacks in originality. --Don McLeese
Customer Review: This one grew on me
I loved Lochloosa so much that this album disappointed me at first. I was hoping for more of the same swamp soul-blues and acoustic funk, but what I got was a tighter sound, more electric instruments, and a bit of a bigger sound. It wasn't the mellow, down-home, sloppy acoustic groove that I wanted. However, it has grown on me quite a bit, and I can now appreciate the brilliance. The key to Mofro's music is the effective use of space. No matter how many instruments there are, and no matter how big the sound gets, J.J. makes sure that the musicians don't step on each others' toes, and that they leave plenty of space between the notes. I wish more musicians would take that lesson because it is the essence of the swamp funk/blues groove that has become one of my favorite styles. For further listening, see my review of Lochloosa. In addition, the more aggressive sound of this album brings to mind a recent gem by Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears.
Customer Review: New discovery for me. Comments on several albums
I'll start with my favorite song, "A Woman". This is a smoky Blues bar number that owes quite a bit to Southern Gospel. If a mellowed out Joe Cocker would sing with the Allman Brothers it may have sounded like this. The plaintive lessons of man who realizes what a woman wants, just a little bit too late, are universal. Country Ghetto and Free are a bit too freeform, although here they show the breath of their talent. Blues gives way to Funk and Swamp Rock. There is a bit of Jerry Lee Lewis honky tonk piano and 60's style tambourine that drones in the background. This is on a previous album, but one of my favorites. In "Fireflies" we get back to what works best for me. A thoughtful southern ballad. Where do the fireflies go? I suggest you listen to John Anderson's "Seminole Wind", and you will understand.

Country Choice Organic Hot Cereal, Multigrain, 18-Ounce Canisters (Pack of 12)
Customer Review: A delicious alternative to regular oatmeal.
I absolutely love this stuff! I usually have it with dried cranberries and apricots added to it! Yum! It's low in calories and has a delicious nutty flavor from the whole grains. It is also far less gloopy than regular oatmeal! In Southeren California, the only place I know that carries this is Trader Joes. If anyone knows of where else I can get it at, please do let me know!
Customer Review: A good break from Oatmeal
As the title says, it is a good change from oatmeal and has a very good flavor. The wife is going to try making cookies with this instead of Oatmeal...should be good. Try it, you will probably like it.

Old-fashion tea and scone mix, Ghirardelli rich and creamy double chocolate hot cocoa, Ahmad English tea, Don Francisco's coffee blend, tea biscuits, flakey pastry and more are brimming from this folding serving tray. Beautiful mugs and a matching napkin complete this eye-opening collection. It's so good they will be asking for seconds. Gift Size: 19" x 15" x 6" - Item 551
Customer Review: Decent assortment
I got this for my wife on our anniversary. Cups and tray were nice- one review said the tray wasn't as shown but ours was. The legs are locked under the tray, and you need to twist a release to get them to open. The assortment was good. I made the scones and they came out really nice. Only issue I have is the Ghiradelli hot chocolate- a single serving packet yet there are two cups!
Customer Review: awesome
I bought this item for my parent's, and they absolutely love it. I think that it was well worth the money spent

Customer Review: Only certain songs
This is a great option for anyone who listens to country, but does not want to buy a bunch of cds to get the one or two songs that are popular
Customer Review: Country As You've Never Heard It Before
This is a terrific starter to Country/Pop Music. There's plenty to enjoy here, from beautifully moving ballads like "Alyssa Lies" by Jason Michael Carroll and Kenny Chesney's Number 1 smash "Don't Blink" to George Strait, The King of Country, and his career highlight, "I Saw God Today". Not to mention Trace Adkins' Number 1 "You're Gonna Miss This". There's more lighthearted fare to be had from blonde bombshells Julianne Hough ("That Song In My Head"), 18-year old Taylor Swift ("Should've Said No") and Country's current biggest superstar, Carrie Underwood ("All American Girl"). There is no real traditional material here, just Country/Pop (more pop than Shania Twain!) and a great listen throughout. This is a CD not to be missed. It's Country Music as you've never heard it before.

Byzantine Country Olives, 5 Pound Bag
Product of Greece.
Customer Review: Better than any jar
These are excellent quality firm olives; similar to what we get in Greece and Italy. I'll definitely buy them again.
Customer Review: Fabulous tastes!
I decided on these because I only wanted olives -- not capers or other distractions. I ordered about a week before a game night with friends, and they arrived in time. By the end of the evening, more than half were gone -- and there were only 10 of us eating them! Everyone who likes olives loved these, commenting on the good tastes. Some folks took containers home. I probably had 50 left to take home. Yummy -- and well worth it.

Secret, Profane and Sugarcane
2009 album from the legendary singer/songwriter and Rock icon, which sees him returning to acoustic American roots music for the first time since his 1986 album King Of America. The album was produced by T Bone Burnett and recorded during a three-day session at Nashville's Sound Emporium Studio. Costello and Burnett have previously collaborated on King of America and Spike. Costello's band for the project includes such Bluegrass and traditional country musicians as Jerry Douglas (dobro), Stuart Duncan (fiddle), Mike Compton (mandolin), Jeff Taylor (accordion) and Dennis Crouch (double bass). Emmylou Harris sings on one song, and Burnett adds his Kay electric guitar sound to several songs, the only amplified instrument on the album. Ten of the album's tracks are new Costello compositions, including two written with Burnett. One song, " I Felt The Chill," was written by Costello and Loretta Lynn, while two of the album's tracks -- "Hidden Same" and "Boom Chicka Boom -- were originally written by Costello for Johnny Cash.
Customer Review: Brilliant... and Uninspired
I was an Elvis Costello fans for many years. I followed his early and middle-career with keen interest, but over the past few years lost whatever concern I once had for the acclaimed singer/songwriter that entered this world as Declan MacManus. Now don't get me wrong. The arrangements and songwriting are of the usual highest caliber for a Costello album. I've rarely heard the man come up short in that department. The music can't be faulted, either; the musicains are well-chosen, play marvelously, and the production values reflect brilliantly for T-Bone Burnett, the linch pin and mastermind of the sessions. But there's something about this record that simply doesn't work for me. Perhaps it's the feeling that Elvis is simply going through the motions and collecting his check at the end of the day. I hear tremendous skill and invention in the way he sings, but there's little urgency or sadness in his voice. The words seem little more than notes for him to hit. Genre-hopping speaks to a certain restlessness in the artist, a way to branch out, play with different musicains, and reinvent yourself along the way. But in Costello's case, I find it a tired, uninspired bag. And it's unfortunate, really, because I really wanted to like this album.
Customer Review: Almost as good as King of America B-sides
I'm a big fan of EC's CD "King of America" - I actually own two different versions of it featuring different bonus tracks - and I would compare this new album with KOA. It's not as strong a CD but it has a similar flavor and I don't think there's a weak song on the thing. It's not as biting or energetic as KOA, but it's no disappointment. If you like the samples on Amazon, you should enjoy the CD itself.

Music from the North Country: The Jayhawks Anthology
Formed in Minneapolis in 1985 around the songwriting duo of Mark Olson and Gary Louris - along with bassist Marc Perlman - the Jayhawks brought together the best elements of country, folk, and rock. After four studio albums (including Hollywood Town Hall and Tomorrow The Green Grass) and numerous U.S. tours, Olson parted company in 1995, leaving Louris to carry on with a revolving lineup of bandmates, releasing the critically acclaimed albums Sound Of Lies, Smile and Rainy Day Music.

But that wasn't to signal the end of Olson and Louris' partnership. The duo reunited for three songs on Olson's 2007 solo album The Salvation Blues, and they decided to continue working together under their own names. An album, Ready For The Flood, was released by New West this past January.

With Olson and Louris currently on the road performing both new songs and classic Jayhawks tracks, the time is right to release the Jayhawks' first-ever compilation. Music From The North Country: The Jayhawks Anthology spans six Jayhawks albums, including their debut on Twin-Tone (Blue Earth) and the five albums cut for American Recordings. Music From the North Country is a single disc career overview put together under the guidance of Gary Louris.

Amazing Grace - A Country Salute to Gospel, Vol. 1
Amazing Grace, a compilation of well-known gospel standards, brings together some of country music's brightest stars. From Lari White's understated delivery of the title track to Martina McBride's mandolin led version of "How Great Thou Art" to the Charlie Daniels Band's soulful rendering of "Kneel at the Cross," Amazing Grace is a real treat for fans of both secular country music and white Southern gospel. Accompanied by a full band including a bittersweet fiddle and a steel guitar, Paul Overstreet kicks up the tempo with "A Mansion Over the Hilltop," while Shenandoah's "Beulah Land" recalls both Glen Campbell's take on high-lonesome balladry as well as the tight harmonies of Alabama. And sung by the sweetest voices of the genre, two of the loveliest tracks on the record are born of the bluegrass gospel tradition: "I'd Rather Have Jesus" and "Precious Memories," performed by Alison Krauss and the Cox Family and Emmylou Harris, respectively. --Paige La Grone
Customer Review: Wonderful Country Gospel album
Amazing Grace (A country salute to gospel) is a great gospel music for those who grew up on gospel and like country music artists. However, the artists that are listed above for this album are not correct. For example, "I'd Rather Have Jesus" is by Allison Krauss & The Cox Family featuring Suzanne Cox and "Kneel At The Cross" is by Charlie Daniels Band. "Amazing Grace" is by Lari White. "Peace in the Valley" is by John Anderson (*really* good). "Blessed Assurance" is by John Berry (absolutely wonderful). Martina McBride sings "How Great Thou Art." Can you imagine her signing that song? Awesome! "In the Garden" is by Billy Dean & Susan Ashton and is my favorite. "Mansion Over the Hilltop" is by Paul Overstreet. "Beulah Land" by Shenandoah. Emmylou Harris sings "Precious Memories."
Customer Review: Love it....
I love this cd. No scratches, however case was broken. But that's not a big deal.

Customer Review: All i can say is wow!
The Perfect Vibe Alittle expensive but worth it The High setting is the best ;) Stays in place great when using it with a partner
Customer Review: NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL!
This thing is simply pointless! It just doesn't live up to any kind of expectation I had...the vibration is lame, the shape is odd for my body, I can't figure out how this thing made such good reviews elsewhere! Could be just me, but, I loves me some buzzy toys -- and this ain't one of 'em! Cute & compact and nicely packaged in a little eyeglass looking carrying case, but, oh so useless for stimulation any farther than scratching an itch down there! Sorry We-Vibe - I don't think you got this one right. Keep trying!

Bayou Country
Bayou Country is the CCR record that slips under the radar. The group's 1969 sophomore release birthed two classic-rock staples--"Born on the Bayou" and "Proud Mary." Then there's the characteristically savvy cover ("Good Golly Miss Molly"), the stretch-out jams ("Graveyard Train" and "Keep on Chooglin"), and a couple of seldom-remarked-upon album tracks ("Bootleg" and "Penthouse Pauper"). And that's it--a little more than a half-hour of the Revival gaining speed but still not firing on all cylinders. For a lesser band, it'd be an impressive achievement; for Creedence, Bayou Country is a mere stepping stone to greater heights. DCC's gold disc provides superior sound reproduction than the Fantasy original for a higher price. --Steven Stolder
Customer Review: Second album features Proud Mary
Proud Mary, a song about a riverboat of that name, was the single that established Creedence Clearwater Revival as a force to be reckoned with. It made the top ten in Britain and did even better in America, where it became the first of several Creedence Clearwater Revival singles to reach the top three. Curiously, they eventually had a number one hit in Britain (Bad moon rising, from a later album) but never reached the very top in America, where they were far more popular. Supported by a cover of Good golly Miss Molly, the rock'n'roll classic, and several great original songs including Born on the bayou, Keep on chooglin', Penthouse pauper and Graveyard train, this album laid down a marker. It gave the public a clear message that Creedence Clearwater Revival was different from what had gone before. Although all the members were born in California, the group had absorbed a variety of influences, including some from Louisiana, prior to hitting the big time. While this is not their best original album (that distinction belongs to Cosmo's factory), it provides a fine sampling of Creedence Clearwater Revival's music and all committed fans of the group need this album in their collection.
Customer Review: The Latest Edition
Around the turn of the century the long neglected Creedence catalog was suddenly appearing in new upgraded editions with cynical regularity. I bought the Steve Hoffman vinyl remasters, which are fine if hard to find. A 2000 CD reissue program was rendered unnecessary by the release - one year later - of the CCR box, with the entire catalog, plus previously issued live albums ("The Concert" from 1970 and the 1971 European set) in one nifty little box that offered familiar liner notes (Ed Ward, Joel Selvin, etc) and one disc to bait fans - a full disc of pre Creedence material that offered a fascinating revisionist essay by Alec Palao and 25 tracks - some originally issued on singles, some not - recorded during 1961 - 66, as the group struggled to make a living and develop the astonishing musical identity that felt so utterly "natural" by 1968. These tracks are an uneven lot but many are surprisingly good, as young John Fogerty grew to be the major talent and visionary, leaving older brother Tom (who had started the band a decade before the debut Creedence album) in the humble role of rhythm guitarist... Now it did seem a bit odd that the box offered no real rarities from CCR's 1967 - 72 period, when they were at absolute creative and commercial peak. After all, after the first album was released in June 1968, production chores were assumed by John and three seamless classics quickly followed, "Bayou Country" (January 1969), "Green River" (August 1969), and "Willy and the Poor Boys" (November 1969). "Cosmos Factory" (July 1970) and "Pendulum" (December 1970) completed an astonishing ruyn and one dazzling and enduring body of work. 1972's "Mardi Gras", recorded after Tom's 1971 departure, contains some good songs, but is an anomaly in the band's catalog, with drummer Doug Clifford and bassist Stu Cook composing (and worse, singing) two thirds of the material, a failed attempt at democracy that led John to split fpr a solo career by the end of the year. So here we have the classic CCR albums, remastered once again, and finally packaged with all the original LP graphics (except those "Fantasy presents..." lablels, which are exactly reproduced by DCC along with every other graphic and sonic detail, in their beautiful transfers issued in the mid 1990s). The question for anyone who is already a fan is, Do we need the third or fourth (fifth counting DCC's gold discs) reissues of the Creedence catalog? Well, perhaps not, unless you're as obsessive compulsive as I am. The bait here is the bonus cuts, and I must say the studio stuff is really only for completists - nothing left in the can for the past thirty or forty years is in any way revelatory, nor is there even a nice b-side ('Call It Pretending', which is interesting, has already been appended to the debut on the aforementioned boxed set). There are some nice live versions that have not been issued. As for these master transfers (George Horn) they in fact are superior to the ones issued earlier this decade - more powereful overall, and details jump out like the percussion on 'Born On The Bayou.' Fogerty's guitars sting. And his piano, always mixed to be felt not heard, is another detail in what are afterall unparalelled original mixes. One may note the 2000-01 transfers of this and other CCR albums are somwhat shorter in length than bothe these new editions and the Steve Hoffman transfers for DCC. Thant's because of the digital devotee's horror of leaving in information from the original master tape that might be misinterpreted as "bad" or wrong; dare we lead the younger or less informed consumer to perceive any amount of audible tape hiss as a 'flaw' in the mastering process (usually audible during the fade near the end of a track, as it rightly should be as it's right there on the original analog master) as if discovering that some uncouth Great Dane relieved himself right there on the front stoop. DCC reproduced the original masters faithfully, and George Horn does it here, though these new discs are sometimes a little bright for my taste and perhaps the overall ambience Fogerty worked to achieve. But at least 'Born On The Bayou' is 5:15 and not 5:10. And one can just bask in the details and the earth tones of these performances. The debut is a good one, but "Bayou Country" is the first undeniable classic from Creedence, invoking Sun Records, Howlin Wolf, Little Richard, and Mark Twain within a seamless and wonderously executed vision that is now Fogerty's own.

Country Life
Some contend Roxy Music peaked on their first two LPs, the ones with Brian Eno. Others contend they were best on their next two LPs, without Eno. Country Life is the second LP of the latter grouping, and it probably is the highpoint of the band's career (although its predecessor, Street Life, is stiff competition). The haunting, melancholic "The Thrill of It All," the art-rockin' "Out of the Blue," the almost-pure '50s rock of "If It Takes All Night," and the decadent Berlin-before-the-War affectations of "A Really Good Time" all lead to the concluding "Prairie Rose," Bryan Ferry's campy ode to Texas and amour Jerry Hall. This was "alternative" rock before the term existed. After this, Roxy Music became an entirely different band. --Bill Holdship
Customer Review: Country Life
Roxy Music-Country Life *** A solid effort from a band that has always been more hype than delivery. The thing about Roxy Music for me personally is that the album covers are all among the greatest of all time but once you get past the cover art there isn't much there. The pretentious attitude that comes with each album, not so much here but still is felt is done better by Roxy Music than any other group in history; attitude only goes so far in rock n' roll. The musicianship is still tops and Ferry's vocals are magnificent but they still couldn't put all the pieces together to make a essential classic. 'The Thrill Of It All' 'All I Want Is You 'Out Of The Blue' and 'Casanova' serve as the albums high points, the rest is really just hit or miss. 'Avalon' the groups most lush album and less guitar driven record still serves as their definitive statement even after all these years.
Customer Review: No Wonder I Never Got Into This Band In The Slightest
Turgid, plodding music. Could barely get through a single playing of the CD before taking it hastily out of the player.

Country Songs for Children
Tom T. Hall writes songs for children, he says, because they have a lot of the same interests, including the quest for simplicity. "One day I just found that we got along great. They understood me," he says. And in this compilation of songs from the '70s and '80s, Hall demonstrates his knowledge of the magic between children and animals and the thrill of taking a trip with the imagination, especially to Hall's own Fox Hollow farm, where such characters as Sneaky Snake, Randy Raccoon, and Ole Lonesome George, the basset hound, await. With the storytelling skills he gleaned as a child in the hills of Kentucky, Hall makes many of his songs into fables. "The Song of the One Legged Chicken," for example, teaches a valuable lesson about disability and difference. While other songs bring soothing comfort or merely raise a smile ("A mink wears a mink coat the whole year round"), and still others encourage play-acting, they all become treasures by the record's end. Packaged with a sing-along booklet. --Alanna Nash
Customer Review: Just like old times
I had a Tom T Hall record when I was little and so when I saw this I had to get it for my 2 boys. They both love it. They especially love sneaky snake. My 1-1/2 year old says "sneaky snake" when we get in the car so he can listen to the CD.
Customer Review: So sweet and funny
My husband actually remembers some of the songs from when he was a little guy, specially the first and second songs. I suprised him with this CD, he could only remember the name of the songs, but I easily found the CD needed. Really how many songs out there are titled "Sneaky Snake". Now he can enjoy singing along with these songs to our bundle of joy once he/she arrives in July. Definately a GREAT buy for kids to enjoy silly stories of various animals! Adults will enjoy these songs just as much.

Rhythm Country and Blues
Where so many duet projects seem like shotgun marriages, this one sounds like a labor of love, celebrating Southern music as a common denominator that transcends racial and categorical divides. Among the highlights, the pairing of Lyle Lovett and Al Green finds revelation within the funky groove of "Funny How Time Slips Away," while the album-closing "Patches"--with George Jones playing father to B.B. King's son--achieves a spine-tingling majesty. Though Natalie Cole and Reba McEntire misconnect on "Since I Fell for You," Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave) and the late Conway Twitty are at their soulful best on "Rainy Night in Georgia." --Don McLeese
Customer Review: Gems that glitter

Just add water. Makes 1/2 gallon. Cooks in 15 minutes. Yield: About 8 one-cup servings. Made in USA.
Customer Review: Great Soup
Bear Creek Soups are outstanding...much less expensive via Amazon in my opinion than from local stores and quick shipping. Easy to make and add other items to the soup.
Customer Review: WOW
If you've not tried this product and like soup, you're missing out. We had some at work...add product and water to crockpot in the morning and for lunch have some excellent soup. I'm picky and I've not been disappointed in this soup.

Democracy - I Want You To Run This Country!
Democracy is an intelligent and sophisticated game that entertains people but also teaches them a thing or two about politics as well. You may think that politics is all about sticking to your principles no matter what but the simulation in this game is specifically designed to show you just how easily even the most honest politician will be forced to compromise in order to stay in power and keep the economy strong.Different voting groups will have conflicting views as to which policies are desirable. Can you manage to remain in office and run the country?Format: WIN 98ME2000XPVISTA Genre: ENTERTAINMENT Age: 183861001642 UPC: 183861001642
Customer Review: OK
It's fun to play and OK, but gets old pretty quick. The same things keep happening over and over again, and there really isn't much difference between the different countries in-game. Would have been better if the stats matched up realistically (ie the US much more conservative than Canada/Europe, Sweden and France very liberal, etc.) Some things they get downright wrong - the US doesn't have a national sales tax in the real world - the game also has the US defaulting to police not being armed!) If they would have done a bit more research and added more variety it could have been 5 stars, but these problems distract and get repetitive. The game also shuts down sometimes for no reason.
Customer Review: Excellent game
Excellent game at an excellent price, especially if you are into stat-based sim/strategy games. The game covers a huge span of political issues that must be managed. Environment, abortion, gun control, education, military spending; the list goes on. Voter responses to your choices are realistically simulated, and many issues interconnect to greatly deepen gameplay. The game is also very open-ended, so it doesn't matter if you lean liberal, conservative, capitalist, socialist, fascist, or straight up totalitarian; the game let's you run your country the way YOU want to with no limitations outside the need to appeal to some segment of the voting population. Production values are also quite nice, with a slick and attractive interface and good ambient audio. Highly recommended.

Schwinn Roadster 12-Inch Trike (Multiple Colors)
Featuring unique retro styling and a heavy-duty steel construction, the Schwinn Roadster is a great choice for your youngster's first trike. It has a low center of gravity thanks to a wider profile back, which offers added stability to prevent tipping. The swoopy steel frame has an easy step-through design so your tyke will be comfortable and ready to ride.

The Roadster is packed with stylish details, including real wood back deck, shiny silver steel fenders, and a comfy bucket seat.
The Roadster has a bucket seat with an opening on the back for easy carrying, and the seat can be adjusted underneath with twist knob (no tools needed) to five different positions. The handlebars have textured grips and raised ends that help keep the hands from slipping off, and the handlebars can be adjusted using a wrench. The pedals offer colored rubber accents that also provide extra gripping so shoes don't slide off. It also features air-filled tires--12 inches in front, 8 inches in the back--which provide a smoother ride over bumpy surfaces.

For added style, this trike comes with a real wooden deck in back with a burned-in Schwinn logo, shiny silver fenders on the front and back tires, a bell on the handlebars (which can be removed), and tassels for added flair coming off the ends of the handlebars (also removable).

Customer Review: Good luck finding a replacement inner tube
This is a quality trike that looks great...there is no doubt about that. HOWEVER, wait until you get a flat tire. Aside from a backorder that has literally going on for three months, we cannot find the appropriate sized 12" inner tube anywhere. Online, in town, across town, two hours away...this inner tube is not available except from Schwinn and according to their sales representative "they are always on backorder". This bike has been sitting and my son is not a happy camper. It doesn't matter what a great bike it is if he can't ride it. I would seriously consider purchasing another trike unless you can purchase replacement inner tubes right then and there.
Customer Review: Beautiful, well made trike
Simply a beauty, both from a design and manufacturing standpoint. Apparently made by Pacific for Schwinn, it seems to me to be a masterwork on both counts. Looks like a tough little cruiser too. Very nicely finished with its black leather-like handlebar streamers and chrome fenders all around. And pneumatic tires to boot! I'll never know it first hand, but I'm betting it's a smooth ride for my granddaughter...once she can reach the pedals. OK, so I rushed into it a bit! That being said, diminutive as she is she was drawn to it like a bee to honey, hopping on and pushing like crazy with what she has for legs so far. Cute or what? ;-)

Bear Creek Country Kitchens "Darn Good" Chili Mix, 9.8-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)
Add water & tomato paste. Makes 1/2 gallon. Cooks in 25 minutes. Yield: About 8 one-cup servings. Made in USA.
Customer Review: THE.BEST.
I tried Bear Creek's Hot and Sour soup a few years ago and my daughter enjoyed it. While shopping a few weeks ago, I decided to buy a bag of the Darn Good Chili because it appeared easy to prepare. Without a doubt, it was THE.BEST. I dropped some off at my son's house and he called to tell me how delicious it was and asked why I never prepared it while he was growing up! I added browned chopped meat and hot pepper. Next time I think I'll add some frozen corn and turkey sausage and serve it stuffed pepper style! What a great product!
Customer Review: It is darn good and easy
My family loves the taste of this chili, and it is so easy to make. I just brown some ground beef and add it, and it is a terrific meal.

Pure Country [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack]
With the help of producer Tony Brown, George Strait redefined his relationship to the contemporary country mainstream with this 1992 soundtrack album, which became the bestselling single release of his career. In the movie, Strait portrays a country star who walks away from the smoke and mirrors to get back to his down-home roots. The ballad "When Did You Stop Loving Me" is as pure country as it gets in this day and age, while "The King of Broken Hearts" and "Where the Sidewalk Ends" introduced Strait's audience to an exceptionally gifted songwriter named Jim Lauderdale. --Rick Mitchell
Customer Review: The beginning of George's corruption
With Tony Brown at the helm, what could have been a fabulous country album turned into a pop-sounding, over-hyped album, that tried (and succeeded) to increase George Strait's popularity to the masses. I love the movie, don't get me wrong, but the music is not the George Strait who was always so true to his western swing and honkytonk roots. Tony Brown took every Strait album afterward and did the same thing; taking away from the crooner's extreme vocal talent, and inserting mainstream sound (via posers like Garth Brooks, and later - Tim McGraw). I still love George's songs, but I prefer music from "Strait Country" until "Holding my Own". Oh, by the way, George Strait and Alan Jackson's duet "Murder on Music Row" should have included Tony Brown's name. Not only did he dilute George's sound, but also Reba McEntire's, among others!

All-Time Greatest Hits/All American Country
Customer Review: Vintage Ray Price
I have been a fan of Ray Price's music for half a century. This retrospective CD is great.
Customer Review: Excellent Anthology Of Original Columbia Recordings (1967-1971)
In the mid 1960's, honky tonker Ray Price began taking his music in a different direction. The swinging fiddles which graced his barroom shuffles evolved into lush violins that showcased his rich voice on haunting ballads. This transformation opened the door to create some of Price's greatest hits and produced several all time country classics as well. "All Time Greatest Hits/All American Country" is a straight reissue of Columbia's "All Time Greatest Hits" from 1972. Featuring twenty tracks, the selections are from seven LPs: "Danny Boy"(1967), "Take Me As I Am" (1968), "She Wears My Ring" (1968), "Sweetheart Of The Year"(1969), "You Wouldn't Know Love" (1969), "For The Good Times"(1970), and "I Won't Mention It Again" (1971). Included are "countrypolitan" remakes of his early hits "Crazy Arms" and "Heartaches By The Number"; pop covers "By The Time I Get To Phoenix", "Little Green Apples", Yesterday", and "Bridge Over Troubled Water"; and Mickey Newbury's "Sweet Memories". Of special note are the interpretations selected from the Kristofferson catalog: "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", "Loving Her Was Easier", and "I'd Rather Be Sorry". The highlights, of course, are two Price signature songs-"For The Good Times" and "I Won't Mention It Again", both #1 chart songs and certified country classics. All in all, a generous selection of songs representing a classic period for the Nashville Sound.

Appalachia Waltz / Ma, Meyer, O'Connor
Customer Review: Light-Hearted fun of folk with the intricacy and depth of classical
In accordance with the other reviews, this CD is really amazing, and it seems to be hard to get tired of listening to it. The composition and musicianship is really amazing.
Customer Review: Amazing.
I am a bit of a music snob. This album wowed me completely and I listen to it several times a week on average.

The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo
Comedian, actor, author, and banjo player Steve Martin releases his first musical recording since 1978's number 1 hit "King Tut." This is no novelty record though. It's some of the best banjo music to come down the pike in a long time. The Crow features able assistance from some of Steve's pals, including Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, Bela Fleck, Tim O'Brien and Mary Black. Martin wrote or co-wrote all of the songs on this album, creating a new body of work that will stand alongside the classics for years to come.
Customer Review: The Crow
This is a fabulous CD of music written and performed by Steve Martin and some well known musicians. He is an expert Banjo player and while most think of banjo music ans being Bluegrass, this CD is not strictly Bluegrass. His compositions are different, more in line with some folk music and very enjoyable to listen to! It's the best Banjo style music CD I have ever purchased.
Customer Review: Funny man playing a happy instrument
Who knew one of the funniest men on Earth could play the banjo? I certainly didn't until a friend turned me on to "The Crow." And Steve Martin's not just getting one of those celebrity albums that you cannot stand, either. He plays well on this 16-song collection that features traditionals and new music. Part's serious and part's fun. If you enjoy bluegrass and a ringing banjo, you need to hear this CD. My favorites: Daddy Played the Banjo Late for School Words Unspoken Rebecca Kyle, June 2009

Fearless
2008 sophomore album from the young Country singer/songwriter who charmed the hearts and charts of America beginning with her debut single 'Tim McGraw'. Her triple-platinum self-titled debut release has scanned over 3.4 million units and spent more weeks at #1 than any other Country album this year: 24 weeks! Taylor is the only Country female artist to have five Top 10 singles from a debut album and the only Country female vocalist this decade to reach the Top 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. Needless to say, she's a sensation that has only just begun to show what she is capable of. 13 tracks including the single 'Love Story' and 'Change', first heard during the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Customer Review: Beautiful music!
This CD is beautiful. I love Taylor Swift's voice and am enjoying the CD very much. I think I am wearing it out by playing it so much.
Customer Review: Great CD
Great music, that anyone can listen too. Has many more songs on it that are good compared to most albums to day. A lot of guys don't like her music but I do she is a great singer.

Ride Through the Country
Customer Review: Outstanding!
This is the most entertaining, from my neck of the woods kind of guy! Upbeat country rap, this is like no other country, I don't like country! There are 2 favorites of mine, Colt Ford and Joanna Cotten! Worth buying!!!
Customer Review: Hard to find CD.
This CD is hard to find in stores. Let me tell you, if you haven't heard Colt Ford you have got to look him up on Myspace and listen. He has a unique but very good style of music. I was hooked the first time I heard it!

Bear Creek Country Kitchens Creamy Wild Rice Soup Mix, 10.1-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)
Just add water. Makes 1/2 gallon. Cooks in 15 minutes. Made in USA.
Customer Review: Delicious Soup
I love a good cream of wild rice soup. I first tried Bear Creek's version because the grocer was out of my favorite canned version. I haven't tasted any better than Bear Creek's even at restaurants. Now I always keep this soup mix on hand for a quick meal, and sometimes add whatever meat and vegetables are on hand for a hearty dinner for the family.

Bear Creek Country Kitchens Creamy Potato Soup Mix, 11-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)
Just add water. Makes 1/2 gallon. Cooks in 15 minutes. Yield: About 8 one-cup servings. Made in USA.
Customer Review: Great Homemade Soup
This has to be one of the best Potato Soup Mixes you can buy. Hard to find in stores but I would recommend highly. A+++ taste and easy to make.
Customer Review: NOT real potato soup; too many ingredients.
I love potato soup and favored canned potato soup. Then my wife discovered this product and we tried it. First, it's spicier than it needs be, if at all. Second, it's not a creamy product because there are too many small potato pieces that never cook to a softer texture. Third, looking at the ingredients list one can see that a potato taste is the end result of all of those ingredients. Almost every product is far from what is claimed, it's something we gotta live with. However, we came up with a method for making better-tasting potato soup than just following their simple direction of only adding water. What you should do first before beginning cooking is to sift the envelope mixture so that you wind up with just powder. Then process the potato pieces into a powder and mix the 2 powders. This will produce a creamy soup. But if you just cook the sifted powder the soup will be creamier. You can also cook the envelope contents without sifting and when the soup is cooked, use an immersion blender to further cream it up. You can also sift the cooked soup and keep the cooked potato pieces for future use. We use them when we bake potatoes and mash them. We also mash the cooked potato pieces and mix them with the mashed potatoes which will result in slightly spicy mashed potatoes.

HE Powdered Detergent
Customer Review: It gets the job done
I use this to wash my daughters cloth diapers. It's odorless and therefore doesn't influence any smells on the diapers. I wash the diapers on hot with only half a scoop and it gets all the breastmilk pee & poop out without leaving any traces behind.
Customer Review: Wonderful!
Love it! I can't believe more people don't know about it. I started using it when I switched to cloth diapers, but I use it on ALL our clothes. It is great!

Bolt (Single-Disc Edition)
Bolt is a funny animated film about a dog who thinks he has superpowers. It is also a movie about friendship, perseverance, and the power of believing in oneself. Everyone knows that superheroes on television are not real, but super-dog Bolt (John Travolta) is a canine star who has been carefully raised to believe that he really possesses superpowers. Bolt is completely devoted to his human co-star Penny (Miley Cyrus), so when Penny is captured by the evil Dr. Calico (Malcolm McDowell) in their latest television episode and then Bolt accidentally gets loose in the real world, Bolt sets off on a journey to save her. Bolt is confounded when his super powers are suddenly ineffective, but inspiration strikes and Bolt quickly discovers the mysterious, power-stealing effects of Styrofoam packing peanuts. An encounter with alley cat Mittens (Susie Essman) gives Bolt some eye-opening lessons about being a real dog in the real world, while star-struck, ball-enclosed hamster Rhino (Mark Walton) revels in the opportunity to serve as Bolt's sidekick in the quest to rescue Penny. The trio traverses the United States from waffle house to waffle house on a hysterical quest to find Penny and prove that the relationship between Penny and Bolt is real. In the end, Bolt, Mittens, and Rhino learn that everyone is special in their own way and they discover the true power of believing in oneself and one's friends. Select theaters showed Bolt in Real-D 3-D which features some nice effects, but the film is probably equally enjoyable in the traditional format. A fun film with a nice message and a huge dose of cute, Bolt is good entertainment for the entire family. --Tami Horiuchi

This movie took me by surprise. It's one of the best animated movies I have seen in a long time. I love Bolt & Penny. The annimatinon was really great too.
Customer Review: Definately Fun Movie - Think Incredibles with Animals
You know the formula, classic Walt Disney. Some cute and cuddly lead character, attacked by a black evil character, scare the little kids for a while, there's a big fight, and the cute and cuddly lead character wins. If you love the Disney formula, this film is a total winner. Hate that formula, and well you just won't enjoy this film. Animation has certainly made a ton of progress in the past few years. This movie is no exception. Where the Incredibles (The Incredibles (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)) were more cartoon, primary colors, Bolt is more cartoon-realistic, with primary colors and shading. The feel of the two films is pretty similar. So the scary part for little kids, there's a ton of subwoofer activity (very loud booms) in the first few minutes. Most of it is a big surprise. In fact my 13 year old son dropped his root beer bottle during one very surprising scene a bit later on. There's a lot of shooting, killing, chasing, implausible action during the first 30 minutes. Ah, just warning sensitive parents. Overall, the story is cute. The dog, Bolt (voiced by John Travolta), thinks he is a superhero dog with superhero powers. Bolt stays on set all the time. Somehow the production people of this television program have decided a dog knows about his setting and will fall out of character if he finds out he doesn't really have super powers (very very odd premise, if you think too hard about it). Two cats taunt Bolt, and make him believe Penny is in trouble. Bolt escapes the set, accidently gets packed in a box with styrofoam peanuts, and gets shipped to New York. There the road movie starts up when Bolt meets an alley cat. The movie is mostly a road movie, how does Bolt get back to LA. There's some good funny moments - the three different sets of three pigeons are hilarious. The Quentin Tarratino parody at the beginning is just too funny (although it's probably very close to the bone in reality). Bolt is very likeable, Travolta does a great job. The hamster is pretty darn funny. Miley - ah, not so great (and it's not just because I'm not a huge Miley fan - overexposure), her voice just wasn't that wonderful. Closing credit song - Travolta FANS - John and Miley sing a duet for the closing credits. I'll have to admit, he's gotten some singing lessons since his last singing in a movie (Love Song For Bobby Long - super great movie, A Love Song for Bobby Long, not for kids at all). John was a blues singer in that film, in Bolt he's a straight ballad singer with a pretty decent voice. The DVD is pretty sparse, with one great exception. There is an awesome funny bonus feature about Rhino the hamster. Oh it's so worth watching. The rest is trailers. Again Disney does it's ridiculous Fast Start nonsense at first insertion of the disc (when will they ever realize the stupidity of that "feature.") Overall - darn good movie. Not a great one (I liked Incredibles more). But, it's really good entertainment for a Saturday afternoon. You also know if your child will be too scared with that opening montage.

Put the O Back in Country
Famous since infancy for his legendary parents, Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, Shooter Jennings arrives at his inevitable debut with the weight of the gods on his shoulders. He attempts to point up his heritage--rather than be crushed by the weight of it--by inviting George Jones and Hank Williams Jr. to appear in spoken-word bits which bookend the record. (The Possum also contributes a weak cameo on "4th of July.") But such shilling comes off as exactly what it is, and the listener knows to expect a song about how awful Nashville is and how modern country just ain't got no soul. Jennings does not disappoint--in fact, he's got a couple tunes like that (the Neil Young-based title track and "Solid Country Gold"), and he also obliges with an Outlaw penchant for self-mythologizing ("Busted in Baylor County," about being jailed for speeding and smoking). The younger Jennings doesn't have his father's commanding baritone, his mother's delicate balance of pathos and strength, or even their natural songwriting ability, though he blends Southern rock and hillbilly with ease, and demonstrates a wicked sense of humor on "Manifesto No. 1," in which sex and Jesus share equal time. But his uneven bow ultimately ingratiates for its honesty. In presenting a vulnerable self-portrait as a rootless, restless man, burning up the road to try to outrun his own heartache and confusion, Shooter honors his heritage in the best livin', lovin', and losin' tradition. --Alanna Nash
Customer Review: people are nuts
I have no clue how people, who say they like country dislike this. This is a country album in the tradition of waylon and hank Jr. You can go on and on about blood lines. Both him and hank III are country royalty, but it has nothing to do with it. Shooter is good old have fun country and this album is a 5 star testament to it.
Customer Review: Even For Non-Country
I am not a country music fan but I love this CD. There are some very country sounding songs on it but there are also some that have more of a southern rock/outlaw country feel. Check it out!

Honky Tonk Hero

"Billy Joe Shaver may be the best songwriter alive today.

—Willie Nelson

"He's as real a writer as Hemingway. He's timeless."

—Kris Kristofferson, quoted in the Dallas Morning News

"[Billy Joe Shaver] was and is that rarest of talents, an utterly distinctive, impeccably honest writer of songs."

—Grant Alden, No Depression

"Billy Joe is unique. One of a kind. They threw away the mold. The best!"

—Robert Duvall

Willie Nelson says "Billy Joe Shaver may be the best songwriter alive today," and legions of fans agree that Billy Joe is the real deal. Many describe his songs as pure poetry. Shaver sings about a life that's been full of hard times, wild living, and a forty-year-long passion for his late wife Brenda. His songs are raw, honest, and so true that people hear the story of their own lives in his music. No wonder, then, that his songs have also been recorded by artists such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, George Jones, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, Patty Loveless, John Anderson, Tom T. Hall, the Allman Brothers, the Oak Ridge Boys, and Tex Ritter.

In this compelling autobiography written with the assistance of Brad Reagan, Billy Joe Shaver looks back over a life that some might call a miracle of survival. His father abandoned the family before Billy Joe was born. Troubles in school and in the military turned him into a fighter, and a sawmill accident claimed two fingers and part of a third on his right hand. Yet his innate musical talent and the encouragement of an English teacher set him on the road to being a songwriter—and he never looked back. Shaver recounts his long struggle to break into the music business in Nashville and the success that came when Waylon Jennings recorded his songs on the 1973 album Honky Tonk Heroes, which became a landmark of outlaw country music. Shaver movingly describes his own thirty-year, up-and-down career as a singer-songwriter in Nashville and Texas, his bouts with alcohol and drugs, his pleasure in touring with his son Eddy and their band Shaver during the 1990s, and the pain of losing Eddy, Brenda, and Billy Joe's mother all within the year 1999-2000.

As full of life, heartbreak, and drama as any of Billy Joe Shaver's songs, Honky Tonk Hero is the story of a man who not only walked on the wild side and lived to tell about it, but also got it all down in songs that many people consider to be some of the finest country music ever written.

Customer Review: great bio straight to the point
Billy Joe Shaver rocks. The bio is very informative and personal. Wish it was a bit longer. However it does include lyrics to all the songs. Great read!
Customer Review: Old Chunk of Coal
People must read this book! I must say I did not know much about Billy Joe before reading this but it is clear that this man can teach everyone the true lessons of life. Billy Joe is someone who has truly lived a life and shares it with people in his poems about it: "When you get down to it country music is essentially the blues, and my whole life the blues have never left me. I've lost parts of 3 fingers, broke my back, suffered a heart attack and a quadruple bypass, had a steel plate put in my neck and 136 stitches in my head, fought drugs and booze, spent the money I had, and burried my wife, son, and mother in the span of 1 year. "But I'm not here to complain or ask for pity. Life is hard for everybody, just in different ways. I'm not proud of my misfortune--I'm proud of my survival. For years my family kept a kept a bundle of life insurance on me because they were sure I would be the first to go. But as I write this, at 64 years of age, I'm still here and they are all gone." (p.viii) The actual story is short, but it is very weighty at the same time. You will ponder and grin at every word while he tells his life's story. And after that you will listen to every word of his poems (lyrics) as a glimpse into this mans soul. There is no need to complain about the brevity of Billy Joe's life story (75 pages). As I said It is very heavy and will surely put you into a different place in time, through the eyes of a man who has lived through it all and is alive still to tell about it; into the soul of a life that only a handful know and countless dream about.

One Hour of Power on a Single Charge
The Neuton CE 5.2 Battery-Powered Mower is a welcome relief from the arm-yanking pull-starts, noxious fumes, startling noises, and uncomfortable vibrations of a gas lawn mower. It starts every time with a simple push of a button and mows for up to an hour on a single charge--ample time for most small- to medium-sized lawns. Need more time? Unlike other battery mowers with built-in batteries that require you to stop mowing to recharge, the CE 5.2 lets you drop in an optional spare battery and keep on mowing. For added convenience, you can also use the CE 5.2 as a trim mower for larger lawns.

Environmentally Friendly Gas- and Oil-Free Operation
The key benefits of the CE 5.2 are that it works well without compromising the environment, and that it doesn’t demand continual maintenance. Because this mower never requires gas or oil, it won’t need a tune-up. Plus, it runs clean, meaning it won’t release harmful pollutants or carbon emissions into the air. Additionally, no gas or oil means easy cleaning and safe storage without spills or fumes.

Magnet Battery and 3-in-1 Cutting Options for Power and Versatility

Garmin City Navigator North America NT (microSD Card)
preloaded microSD card with detailed road maps of the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, includes points of interest plus key roads, works with many Garmin navigators -- SD card adapter included
Customer Review: warning to Canadians
As usual these Garmin maps do a good job of getting you from place to place but it is not possible to download them from the microSD card to the computer. Also, I found a number of large Canadian retailer locations missing from the database. The Garmin rep could not give a good reason for this other than only so much would fit on the card. I'm sorry they shortchanged Canada.
Customer Review: City Narigator North America
Map works perfectly in my Garmin 705 and in the Oregon. Maps are accurate. Usual Packaged GPS map problem - doesn't always give the most direct route (noticeable especially when you know the best route), but always gets you where you want to go.

Country Life Daily Daily-Dophilus, 112 vcaps
Customer Review: Best investment yet
I knew I wanted to add probiotics but didn't want to deal with keeping them in the refrigerator. I originally found this product at my health food store for over $30 and here is on line for far less than that - What a great find!! It has helped my stomach too -
Customer Review: Keeps things moving along...
After trying a variety of different probiotics (and spending a lot of $), I'm sold on Daily-Dophilus. Two pills in the morning and two pills at night help keeping things *ahem* moving along smoothly for me. My husband just uses one pill each for am/pm, and says it works great for him. The price on Amazon is cheaper than any place else I've found it, even when on sale. Definitely a keeper!

Amish Country Baby White Popcorn - 2lb.
Extra Small & Tender. This small white is one of the smallest amd most tender kernels. It resembles an old variety called the Japanese hulless. It comes from separating the smaller kernels from our medium white. Great tasting and tender!
Customer Review: Heed the advice on hot air poppers
Wish I would have read the reviews that discuss the product's performance in hot air poppers. The PC is very tasty and light with no residual kernel shells that get stuck in your teeth...4 stars. Problem with using it in hot air poppers is that the kernels are too light and fly out of the machine before they pop. Tilting the machine helps keep them inside, but it would be simpler just to find another larger kernel corn.
Customer Review: Small Kernals
This is good popcorn, but it is very small so you need to make twice as much as you normally would.

Mannahatta: A Natural History of New York City
On September 12, 1609, Henry Hudson first set eyes on the land that would become Manhattan. It's difficult for us to imagine what he saw, but for more than a decade, landscape ecologist Eric Sanderson has been working to do just that. Mannahatta: A Natural History of New York City is the astounding result of those efforts, reconstructing, in words and images, the wild island that millions of New Yorkers now call home.

By geographically matching an 18th-century map of Manhattan's landscape to the modern cityscape, combing through historical and archaeological records, and applying modern principles of ecology and computer modeling, Sanderson is able to re-create the forests of Times Square, the meadows of Harlem, and the wetlands of downtown. Filled with breathtaking illustrations that show what Manhattan looked like 400 years ago, Mannahatta is a groundbreaking work that gives readers not only a window into the past, but inspiration for green cities and wild places of the future.
Library Journal:
"You don't have to be a New Yorker to be enthralled by this book. Highly recommended."

San Francisco Chronicle:
"[A]n exuberantly written and beautifully illustrated exploration of pre-European Gotham."

The New York Times Book Review:
"'Mannahatta' is a cartographical detective tale. . ."

"The fact-intense charts, maps and tables offered in abundance here are fascinating, and even kind of sexy. And the middle of the book, the two-page spread of Mannahatta in all its primeval glory-the visual denouement of a decade's research-feels a little like a centerfold."

"Upon closing the book you feel revved up, at the very least, and are likely to see a way to build a future that is more aligned with what once was than with what can no longer be."

Customer Review: Manhattan Peeled Back
This is an excellent book for naturalists, urban explorers and those who are just plain curious about Manhattan. Long before George Washington retreated up the length of the island, Manhattan was a pristine wilderness inhabited by a First American tribe or two. Having finished the book over two weekends I have a new appreciation for the island's topography which can still be experienced as Marathon runners struggle up First Avenue, one drives from 57th St down to 42nd St on Broadway and hikes up a rather steep hill on Lexington Avenue from 106th St. to 96th St. and its natural beauty as evidenced by a spectacular harbor, Mt Morris Park and its northern forested area. The photos and other illustrations complement an engaging and fascinating text. A truly beautiful work.
Customer Review: A fascinating read
Posted June 18, 2009, 10:56 AM EST: I have not been able to put this book down since my financée purchased it for me three weeks ago. Sanderson's account of the early history of Manhattan is truly remarkable. I am a native Manhattanite oft thought of as a country boy stuck in a city body. This book explains why. Manhattan, in its roots, is a majestic tapestry of trees, ponds, streams, bogs, grasslands, fauna and floral. It was as abundant in its diverse ecosystems as is Brooklyn in its immigrant populations. It was every bit as wild with birds and bees buzzing and bears and wolves howling as it is today with young singles in Murray Hill pining after each other in the local bars or Wall Street yuppies crowing at the sound of the opening bell. Sanderson's prose is elegant, weaving history lessons and anecdotal snippets of information into an elaborate portrait of Mannahatta's lush landscape. He brings this lost world to life with clarity in non-judgmental fashion- a remarkable work. A truly unforgettable experience; you will never look at Manhattan in the same way again.

Amish Country Lady Finger Popcorn - 6lb.
This old open pollinated variety is also sometimes called Tom Thumb. If you like small, hulless, tender popcorn, you definitely will want to try this one!
Customer Review: Family favorite
We use a stove top popper and this absolutely my family's favorite popcorn. Hardly any unpopped kernels, it tastes fantastic and the diminutive size is charming and a lot of fun. Plus because it's so tiny, when we use the caramel flavor with it, it's all well coated and a nice sweet treat. I thought my husband wouldn't like it because it was so small, he just eats a couple pieces at a time. It pops up to about half the size of regular popcorn, very delicate and pretty and just fancy enough to thrill my daughter. No big hulls to get caught in teeth. Lovely!
Customer Review: Great tasting popcorn
The texture and flavor of this popcorn is unlike any other. Really delicious. BUT I find it best to use an air-popper as with the stovetop method many kernals refuse to pop. You'll need to double the amount and pour 1 full cup into the blower, or spend a good half an hour cleaning the house when the small kernals come roaring out like a volcano. Even then you'll be finding them crunching underfoot for a week or more. Great tasting popcorn though - a real treat.

Love Their Country
Customer Review: This is Punk Country Pardner!
When I lived in the UK at the end of the '70's and the start of the '80s, I couldn't have imagined that "Punk Rock" would be around 30 years later. I never liked it I never got it at all until grudgingly, I had to admire "GreenDay" when they were all over the radio for a time. So imagine my surprise when by accident one day I got a CD by a group called Me First and the Gimme Gimmes (my wife is "Gimmie" to our grand kids). To those who don't know, MFATGG are a punk "Cover Group" who do interesting punk versions of old pop songs, and in this outing they do it for country. Purist of punk or country may find this totally offensive, but I find it a lot of fun. My favorite here is Kris Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down" which they gave a updated feel without changing the gut wrenching effect of the original. Jolene is great, but the gender voice of the poetry comes off a bit "Off". But here's the deal, this is not an album for country fans, or for punk fans, but it is a CD for eclectic music lovers, and when I am in the mood for it I love it!
Customer Review: YeeHawwww!
Strictly a punk rock cover band, The Gimme Gimmies set their sites on the country music scene this time around. Funny thing is I hate country, but I love this album. Some songs I recognized, and others I sort of knew. Either way, the group has managed to find a way to make me appreciate country a little more, and will probably have the same effect on you. Now I've found myself tracking down the originals as well as the band's back catalog.

Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country for Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
Customer Review: Excellent SNES game that looks and plays better than anything Sega put out at the time
Hi, everyone. I'm back! I am here to tell you my review of Donkey Kong Country. I didn't know about it until I recieved the Game Boy Color port for my birthday, and it was fun. I later on sold it and tried out the SNES original and it was better. It ts where the evil King K. Rool steals the bananas from Donkey Kong's hoard, and he and his friend Diddy Kong go on a search to get it all back. The graphics were groundbreaking for their time, and looked and played better than anything Sega put out, no offense, I am also a Sega fan. The gameplay was great and challenging. The bosses were neat as well. I also tried out the sequels, and the second seems a little better than its predecesor, and as for the third, well, a mixed bag! I would recommend the first two for your collection, but please rent the third before you buy it.
Customer Review: 1st country
Had to get this one. Great game lots of fun. Good memories. Thank you for having such an awesome selection of fun for every age..............

Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music Director's Cut (40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition with Amazon Exclusive Bonus Disc)
The three-day Woodstock music festival in 1969 was the pivotal event of the 1960s peace movement, and this landmark concert film is the definitive record of that milestone of rock & roll history. It's more than a chronicle of the hippie movement, however; this is a film of genuine historical and social importance, capturing the spirit of America in transition, when the Vietnam War was at its peak and antiwar protest was fully expressed through the liberating music of the time. With a brilliant crew at his disposal (including a young editor named Martin Scorsese), director Michael Wadleigh worked with over 300 hours of footage to create his original 225-minute director's cut, which was cut by 40 minutes for the film's release in 1970. Eight previously edited segments were restored in 1994, and the original director's cut of Woodstock is now the version most commonly available on videotape and DVD. The film deservedly won the Academy Award for Best Documentary, and it's still a stunning achievement. Abundant footage taken among the massive crowd ("half a million strong") expresses the human heart of the event, from skinny-dipping hippies to accidental overdoses, to unpredictable weather, midconcert childbirth, and the thoughtful (or just plain rambling) reflections of the festive participants. Then, of course, there is the music--a nonstop parade of rock & roll from the greatest performers of the period, including Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Canned Heat, The Who, Richie Havens, Joan Baez, Ten Years After, Sly & The Family Stone, Santana, and many more. Watching this ambitious film, as the saying goes, is the next best thing to being there--it's a time-travel journey to that once-in-a-lifetime event. --Jeff Shannon

Customer Review: Vulgar Behavior
Adults frolicing about in the mud, bathing in the river, and disrobed. Shown at the film night in the Talk of the Town Estates Trailer Park, it elicited the following responses from residents: Father O' - Should have been a thunder storm with lightning to strike down the sinful exhibit of epidermis. Bozero - Carlos Santana is strangely welcome, although lacking a tamale pot. Mother - Purred, "I'd powder those wet buns." Schlossenbergs - "Would love to charge interest of the production costs." Overall, the reaction was mixed, but frankly I didn't like the exclusion of dwarfs from the bathing, so one star only.
Customer Review: Great But What about old Amazon reviews
Is it just me or didn't this just come out on June 9, 2009. How can there be so many reviews dating back almost 5 to 10 years ago? Amazon should purge those reviews from here to give the true picture.

Classic Country Gold
Customer Review: Mostly Good Songs
This is a 2-CD set, and is an assortment of various singers. Some of my favorite songs are "Hey Good Lookin'" by Hank Williams, "Sixteen Tons" by Tennessee Ernie Ford, "Rhinestone Cowboy" by Glen Campbell, "Fourteen Carat Mind" by Gene Watson, just to name a few.
Customer Review: Great Start to a Collection
This CD set is a great way to share some of the best classic country hits with someone or even to start your own collection. I have almost if not all of these songs on other CDs, but having so many on two CDs is amazing. For those looking to get into or back into this type of music, this CD set is a great way to sample some of the best songs. It only causes me to think that there are no new greats like the ones we had in the past. "Who's going to fill their shoes?"

Garth Live from Central Park [VHS]
Customer Review: Mono audio
This video needs to transfered to DVD and be digitally remastered and stereo sound mixed. After buying it I transfered it to DVD so I could play it and you cannot imagine how disappointed I was at how bad it sounded! This was the concert of a life time! Why would they sell it in such a crappy form? I for one would pay a pretty good price for a DVD version with stereo audio.
Customer Review: Why you should own the VHS version...
Sure, you're thinking, "I can buy 'The Entertainer' DVD set and get this along with other Garth specials; why bother with the VHS?" Here's why: The DVD version is severely edited. First off, as a marketing ploy, two songs were excised from the program and put on the DVD as "bonus tracks." Moreover, there were several between-songs moments that were sacrificed and unfortunately, many were the kinds of things that really helped make the Central Park show a standout Garth event. The highlight was when Garth explained how it was that Billy Joel was still around to come out in the encore and perform on "You May Be Right." They stole the car that Billy came in, is the way Garth explains it to the audience. True? Doubtful, but it's amusing. On the DVD version, Billy Joel is simply all of a sudden on-stage again with no introduction. The DVD version is too perfunctory to really capture the magic of this event, and for that reason, you really owe it to yourself to acquire the original, unedited, VHS release.

Live Butterfly Garden
Did you know that painted ladies (the butterflies, that is) taste with their feet and have 10,000 eyes? You and your kids will be fascinated by all you learn about these beautiful creatures with the Butterfly Garden from Insect Lore. The kit comes with a relatively easy-to-assemble observation chamber; supplies for feeding the butterflies (you provide only sugar and water); an informative booklet of clear instructions and butterfly facts; and a certificate for three to five free painted lady caterpillars. The metamorphosis from larva to butterfly takes about three weeks from when you receive the caterpillar larvae (which arrive in a small container with all the nutrients they need). Your children can watch the larvae increase dramatically in size, form chrysalides, and finally emerge into full-fledged painted ladies (it's suggested that they release the butterflies after a few days of observation). This would make a wonderful activity for families with kids of any age, but younger children will need help assembling the observation chamber and reading the instruction booklet. (Note: The manufacturer recommends that butterflies should not be set free in temperatures lower than 55 degrees Fahrenheit.) --Rachel Radway
Customer Review: Great learning experience
Overall this was a great product for my child to observe. The obvious issue is explaining to your 6 year old how fragile these insects are and that she can't mess around with it all the time. That is why I gave the item a lower rating for durability, it's a look, but don't touch kind of thing. The kit itself is very durable and can be saved for future use! We had a lot of fun with it thought, watching everyday in anticipation for our beautiful butterflies to enter into the world.
Customer Review: Love to see the butterfly
This is the second times we got this product. The first one was a birthday gift for my son who was 3 years old. This time I got it for him, as he really loves insects especially caterpillars and butterflies. He goes to park everyday to catch butterflies and then releases them after 1 or 2 days. We fed the flesh flowers sprayed with sugar water. We love this kit. We received the caterpillars about 1-2 weeks. All 5 caterpillars are alive. They were tiny, seeing them double in size everyday is amazing. After we release the butterflies, the butterfly garden is very useful for my son to keep the bugs he catches everyday.

Customer Review: Vegan Organic Kosher Choice
Vegan. Organic. Kosher. Nice smooth vanilla creme filling between two chocolate wafers. A "classic." Shipped extremely well. 24 perfect cookies in the first package I opened. Great with a cup of your favorite organic coffee. Kosher D from processing on shared equipment. 65 kcal per cookie. I put 2-4 cookies in zipper snack bags to make convenient portions. I save and reuse these snack bags for when I open the next "big" package. Easy to keep these fresh in an airtight cookie jar or gallon (4 ltr) ziplock bag. Great value for organic cookies. Another winner from Country Choice. Also really like Country Choice Organic Chocolate Cremes Sandwich Cremes, 12-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6). This review is out there for those for whom this makes a difference. See all of my reviews for more great choices. Check out "Vegan Grocery Favorites" and "Vegan Grocery Top Ten" in Listmania. Your "helpful" votes count and will be greatly appreciated to benefit the search of others. Thank you.

Waitin' in the Country
Jason Michael Carroll's debut, already distinguished by the single "Alyssa Lies," an affecting ballad about child abuse, is a take-no-chances, radio-ready smorgasbord aimed mostly at the testosterone-fueled, truck-revvin' set. Carroll, a 28-year-old father of four and the son of a North Carolina fundamentalist preacher, hits those Piedmont consonants hard, and looks like a cross between a contemporary Christian singer and a devotee of Trace Adkins, whose speaker-rattling baritone is an obvious inspiration. With producer Don Gehman (John Mellencamp) mixing Carroll's sensitive originals with hearty commercial songs from proven Nashville hitmeisters (Craig Wiseman, Casey Beathard, Jeffrey Steele), it's hard to get a good fix on Carroll's persona, and he lives and dies by the material. One schizophrenic moment: "No Good in Goodbye," his duet with Nashville convert Jewel, who co-wrote the song with Carroll and Shaye Smith. The fading pop icon has no idea how to phrase a song like this, and the singers' interaction never sounds believable. To quote a line from another tune here, "Something like this just don't exist/Between a backwoods boy and a fairytale princess." Carroll's ability to balance the realism of "Alyssa Lies" with such obviously calculated fare (check out the Toby Keith-ish "Honky Tonk Friends") may ultimately set his fate. --Alanna Nash
Customer Review: Amazing. QED.
Ok, not only is he absolutely gorgeous, but his songs are equally amazing, as well - and his voice is just guh. + "Waitin' In The Country" - Love this song. The second verse is love, but the whole song's snazzin'. + "I Can Sleep When I'm Dead" - "I've got a closet full of Red Bull and Visine to hide the red." You'll laugh, even if you don't want to. xD + "Alyssa Lies" - The first song I heard from him on the radio, 'n I still cry every time I hear it. + "Lookin' At You" - Sweet and funny, perfect combination. + "No Good In Goodbye" - One of my favorite tracks, 'cause he's singing with Jewel (love her) and the song is just gorgeous. ("And I know it can't be over, 'cause I still wake up reachin' for you in the night...") + "Livin' Our Love Song" - So sweet, and swoon-worthy (for a hopeless romantic, at least). + "Anyhwere USA" - I can't even say how much I love this song. xD It just makes you wanna dance 'n sing along, 'n it's just great. + "Honky Tonk Friends" - Silly and fun with a ring of truth to it; very nice. + "Love Won't Let Me" - Love this song way too much. It's gorgeous, it's shippy, and an overall guh. + "Angel Of Broken Hearts" - It's got this music to it that you wouldn't quite expect, but it adds to a nice, "Ok, I'm tired of being miserable over her - can I move on now, please?" sort of feel to the song. + "Let It Rain" - Beyond gorgeous. He sings it higher than the rest of the songs, and it just adds to the song's charm. Gorgeous post-break up song.
Customer Review: Better than expected!
I knew I liked the songs played on the radio, but the others were better than expected. I recommend this cd to country music fans. This is a good cd beginning to end.

Neuton CE 6.3 19-Inch 36-Volt Cordless Electric Discharge/Mulching/Bagging Lawn Mower With Removable Battery
Environmentally friendly and exceptionally easy to operate, the Neuton CE 6.3 Battery-Powered Mower cuts a 19-inch path, making it ideal for lawns measuring up to a third of an acre (15,000 square feet). Combining the powerful efficiency of a gas mower with the low-maintenance convenience of battery technology, the CE 6.3 is the most powerful mower with a removable battery that's currently available on the market.

The Neuton CE 6.3
Battery-Powered Mower:
  • Features an environmentally friendly, easy-to-maintain electric design
  • Offers 360 watt-hours of energy for cutting tall, thick grass cleanly
  • Runs 45 to 60 minutes on a single battery charge
  • Includes rear grass bag, side discharge chute, and mulching plug to give you options for clipping disposal
  • Folds for easy storage and transport

A compact, lightweight design and folding handle make storage and transport easy.

Neuton mowers are compatible with a range of accessories, including a unique, on-board string-trimmer/edger (not included).

The award-winning CE 6.3 is clean, quiet, easy to start, and easy to maintain. View larger.

A broad, 19-inch cutting width helps keep mowing efficient. View larger.

The battery lifts out easily, and it charges fully in just 12 hours. View larger.
One Hour of Power on a Single Charge
Winner of the 2009 Organic Gardening Editors' Choice Award, the Neuton CE 6.3 Battery-Powered Mower is a welcome relief from the arm-yanking pull-starts, noxious fumes, startling noises, and uncomfortable vibrations of a gas lawn mower. It starts every time with a simple push of a button and can mow for up to an hour on a single charge--ample time for most small- to medium-sized lawns. Unlike other battery mowers with built-in batteries that require you to stop mowing to recharge, if you need more time with the CE 6.3, just drop in an optional Spare Battery and keep mowing. For added convenience, you can also use this model as a trim mower for larger lawns.

Environmentally Friendly Gas- and Oil-Free Operation
The key benefits of the CE 6.3 are that it works well without compromising the environment, and that it doesn’t demand continual maintenance.

This efficient mower owes its robust performance to a removable, rechargeable, 36-amp, 750-watt magnet battery that has a 60-minute run time per charge, depending on grass conditions. The battery saves you money by costing only 10 cents per recharge, and it saves you time by fully recharging in just 12 hours. Additionally, the battery will last up to five years with proper care and is over 95 percent recyclable.

The CE 6.3 also offers versatile three-in-one cutting options, includes a rear grass bag (with a 1.33-bushel capacity), side discharge chute, and mulching plug.

Lightweight for Easy Pushing, Adjustable Height for Greater Flexibility
Easy to operate, the CE 6.3 weighs just 69 pounds, so you won’t struggle to push it across your lawn. Additionally, a single-touch height-adjustment lever raises and lowers the cutting blade from 1.2 to 3.0 inches, giving you great flexibility.

14-inch Cutting Width for Better Control and Great Results
Equipped with 10-inch front wheels and seven-inch rear wheels, this mower is stable and sturdy, even when mowing around trees or shrubs or on rugged terrain. Its 19-inch cutting width lets you power through your lawn, leaving only manicured grass behind.

Truly Quiet Operation for More Enjoyable Yard Work
Because it runs on a battery, the CE 6.3 boasts a quiet running noise, at a level that’s roughly half of what a conventional gas mower produces. This low noise level makes operation more pleasant for both you and your neighbors.

With CE 6.3, you don’t have to wait to mow. It arrives with everything you need to get started right away, including the battery, battery charger, and rear grass-collection bag.

Optional Accessories for All-in-One Yard Maintenance
Neuton Mowers have attachments and accessories that give you options other mowers simply can’t. For instance, you can purchase the Premier Accessories Pack and enjoy an on-board string-trimmer/edger, which eliminates the need for a second piece of equipment and gives your yard and walkways a beautiful, clean finish. And for that ballpark look, consider investing in the Lawn Striper.

The CE 6.3 has an overall width of 21 inches, a maximum height of 42 inches, and weighs 69 pounds. It comes with a two-year warranty.

About Neuton: Simplicity, Ingenuity, and Responsibility

Customer Review: Works great!
When I first received my Neuton last season, I was a little disappointed because the key kept popping out and the mower lacked some power. After talking with Neuton, it was determined that there was some damage to the electrical key receptacle during shipment and they shipped me a replacement part. Since then, the mower works just as good as my Sears self-propelled mower, is quieter, and does not required any gas, oil, or tune-ups prior to the mowing season. I highly recommend this mower and get positive comments on it all of the time. I even have had professional lawn service personnel inquire about my mower and a neighbor has purchased one after seeing my success with it over the past year. Just buy one.....you'll love it too!
Customer Review: mower for one concern by environement
Neuton CE 6.3 19-Inch 36-Volt Cordless Electric Discharge/Mulching/Bagging Lawn Mower With Removable Battery I own 2 of the 6.3 Neuton Mower. I buy those mowers this year. First of all, its not a gaz mower, its electric and the power it a bit weeker, but not enough to be notice. If you maintain your grass properly, not cut in after a rain an do it in dry condition, its the perfect tool (no fume, no oil change, no fill up, no ride to the local gaz station, no spill and noise in verry low, no sparks plug, no cranking). For the mulching, it work perfectly and the life of the battery is the same, no difference (thats take less energy than bagging or side dicharge. If you want to take the best, cut your grass when the condition is what I mention above (common sense first). The mulching work well, here in the north, end of June to end of august when the grass is less full of water. In other period, use the side discharge. Another secret, keep your blade always sharp, that make all the difference (try to cut think with a bad nife!!!) and it will increase the battery life. Finaly, when you receive your mower, no matter the brand, you have to follow the manufacturer instruction (same as any electronic device such as cell phone) for the first charge ofthe battery (neuton 36 to 72 hours) after, each charge is 8 hours (durring winter, charge the unplug, do the operation 3 time during winter) and never leave your charger plug after a charge. Another secret, electric mower are no different than gaz, when the are empty, they are empty, so if the job take more than 45 minutes full throtle, buy a second battery (that what we call a fill up!!!). Last go on NeutonPower web site. You can consider to buy the bundle (available on Neuton website), wich include the replacement blade (dont forget, you need no tools, they are provided with the mower)a sharpner (absoloutely needed for serious people and beleive me, they are good) a replacement spool, the charger, additional battery and the weed wacker (to put in the front of the mower). I realy enjoy my mowers and enjoy to do the grass with it and it perfect on flat surface, when hill, need a bit of your human energy and I never consider the price per cut, I consider the noise and protection ef our environement. The price of a good gaz mower is realy pricy, 600$ and up and thatprice that you see for a real Honda.

Bear Creek Country Kitchens Hot & Sour Soup Mix, 7-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)
Bear Creek 8-Serving Soup Mix, Hot Sour, 7 Ounces (Pack of 6)
Customer Review: best on the market
i'm not a big fan of prepared package soups (especially those awful chik-n-noodles types), but i was simply astounded by the great taste of this product - others have chimed in with their 'upgrades' to the mix, and i'll add mine: dried mushrooms - especially the shredded wood-ears you can get at your local Asian grocery... i keep this item in stock at the casa at all times! fabulous product!
Customer Review: Good soup, but
This is a nice tasting soup. Perhaps a little salty, barely, with a robust big flavor! The bad thing is the noodles they put in the pack. There are a lot of rolled up noodles that unroll like flat spaghetti when cooked. I enjoy the 'Asian Home Gourmet' hot and sour soup more, but this is good for those who like a wholesome meat and tatters kinda soup. If you want the best hot and sour though, buy the Asian Home Gourmet paste packs.

Country Roads Collection
Massive and impressively comprehensive, the Country Roads Box Collection is classic John Denver. Spanning four discs, the collection not only draws upon the obvious highlights of Denver's career, but also includes fan favorites that might not have received the same airplay as their more popular counterparts. Listening to Country Roads, the finesse with which Denver balanced his folk rock tendencies with his country leanings emerges as testament to his talent. As a box set, the collection would be remiss if it didn't include "Leaving on a Jet Plane," "Annie's Song," "Thank God I'm a Country Boy," or "Rocky Mountain High"--and, of course, the box set's namesake is here. Later hits like "Calypso," with its sea-shanty yodeling, portray Denver's ability to ease himself into the role of balladeer, regardless of the genre. Novelty duets with Placido Domingo and Emmylou Harris were intended to rekindle what seemed to be lagging popularity, but Country Roads establishes John Denver's contributions as timeless, nonetheless. --Steve Gdula
Customer Review: A Great Collection
A great collection of John's varied writings. The sound mix was 80's and sounded like it. Too bad it wasn't 'remixed' for the price.
Customer Review: excellent collection
great set of music from one of America's greatest troubadors. He was a dedicated crossover artist who refused to be pigeonholed into the safe conformity of country music. Amazing to learn that RCA actually rejected his Perhaps Love album of 82 for not being country enough. Even though the radio stations began ignoring his new music after 83, good songs kept coming, even beyond the scope of this collection. Denver's music recorded between 88 and 91 is just as good and well worth buying.

Allen Tension Bar Bicycle Cross-Bar Adaptor
Adaptor bar adds a top tube to non-conventional frames. Internal spring maintains constant tension. Quickly attaches to wide range of frame styles. Plastic coated hooks protect your bicycles finish.
Customer Review: Works great. Can be painful.
Works great for holding the bike on the rack. But it can be a pain... literally! Due to the spring tension and the funky retention pin, if you aren't careful you'll get your hand pinched. This is because you have to stretch the bar against the tension and then insert the pin. If you slip it will snap back with a lot of force. If your hand is in the way then... OUCH! The same can happen when removing the bar. This is probably guaranteed to happen to you at least once. Don't worry, you will heal in a day or two. From then on you will pay very close attention and it should not be a problem.
Customer Review: Works great
Works as expected for my 2 bikes without conventional top bars. I am pleased with the purchase.

Amish Country Red Popcorn - 2lb.
This hybrid is very similar to medium white, but has two distinct characteristics. There are not many flaky hulls, yet it pops fluffy and meaty white. It is a favorite of many!
Customer Review: Tasty
We use this popcorn in an air popper on the weekends. It is delicious and tastes much better than anything we have been able to find in the stores.
Customer Review: tastless
If you like your popcorn either burned or unpopped this is the one for you. The time for the kernels to pop varies so much that the first ones are burned by the time the last ones pop.

BodyGlide Anti-Chafing Stick
From heat to toe, BodyGlide arrests friction and creates a smooth, non-oily protection barrier. It helps prevent blisters, chafing, dry skin, saddles ores, cracked skin and rash. Use it everywhere - for hands, feet, upper body, inner thighs, under arms, shoulders and chest (nipples).
Customer Review: Great for long distance runners
I was very happy with this product and it was helpful for me when I run long distances (over 5 miles). I've found that it has really smoothed out running and any friction that might otherwise chafe. My one gripe would be that it seems to crumble a little at first, so I will get crumbs coming off the edges when I use it. It's minor, but annoying when I step on those crumbs on a tile floor...
Customer Review: smooth body now
this was a great product. only problem is that when it arrived, it was really really warm out and it was left by the door, in the sun. when i tried to use it it crumbled. but now that it is at room temperature it is great. i would recommend this product for anyone with caffing issues, whether it be legs, arms, or nipples. great product.

Country Save Liquid Laundry Detergent, 50-Load, 100-Ounce Bottles (Case of 4)
Liquid Laundry Detergent
Customer Review: Leave clothes stiff, but smells nice
I originally bought the liquid Country Save for my diapers (Bum Genius 3.0 and Fuzzi Bunz), but got that wrong as another reviewer mentioned--the liquid contains fragrance and cannot be used on diapers. This detergent leaves the clothes that I hang dry stiff and a little scratchy to wear. I'm sure it is because it is so "clean rinsing," but I'm hoping for an equally natural laundry detergent that makes my clothes feel nicer. Now I'm stuck with 3 jugs of this, and hesitant to try the powder because it might make my clothes feel the same way.
Customer Review: Best detergent
This is the best detergent ever. Finally, an all natural detergent that actually works. I use it on all of our laundry, including our cloth diapers and they come out so fresh and clean.

Celestial Seasonings Herb Tea, Country Peach Passion, Tea Bags, 20-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)
Caffeine. 100% Natural herb tea. This product contains all natural ingredients and flavors, and no artificial colors or preservatives. Gluten free. As daring as that first country kiss and as full of promise, our Country Peach Passion Herb Tea is sweet and sassy with flavor. Real peaches and natural peach flavors are brightened with tangy orange peel, snappy hibiscus and the surprise of passion fruit for a memorable orchard fresh taste. Savor an aromatic cup or sip a chilling glass. You never know where that first flirtation will take you!
Customer Review: Heavenly Peach
I love tea. I love peach. Peach is one of my favorite flavors, and probably my very favorite tea flavor. This tea is just awesome. It has the mouth-watering taste of peach. I look forward to fresh peaches every summer, because that's the only time of year I can get them. Fortunately, I can have peach tea all year. And not only is peach my favorite flavor of tea, but there are certain things (and certain flavors) that just go together. For example, cornbread and iced tea; fresh-cooked tomatoes and pasta; Italian bread sticks and homemade minestrone soup; and tea and peach. The tea flavor and the peach flavor blend together perfectly for that heavenly taste.
Customer Review: Just what I expected
Tea came on time and was fresh when it arrived. Pricing good, particularly if using free shipping.

50 Years of Country Gospel
Customer Review: Great Gift!
I purchased this as a gift for my dad. I have to be careful that what I send him my mom will enjoy, as he will play it until it drives her crazy. They both called and said they LOVE the CD's. The variety of mixing older artist with the newer has the perfect blend for both of them to enjoy.
Customer Review: Good Gospel
This set includes gospel songs I hadn't heard in years, brought back a lot of memories.

Amish Country Purple Popcorn - 2lb.
You will enjoy this tender popcorn. It is packed full of antioxidents, flavor and has less hulls!
Customer Review: Great product but, wtf?
This popcorn is great. Used an air popper came out awesome really good popcorn. Problem is 8 bucks shipping? WTF? more then 2x the price of the product. It's not fragile or easily broken. Why so much? Everything by them shipping is majorly overblown and it's really sad because their products are awesome.
Customer Review: Fantastic Popcorn!
This popcorn is terrific! It pops up very fluffy but on the smaller side and with a lot less hulls. Has a really great taste to it!

Amish Country Red Popcorn - 6lb.
This hybrid is very similar to medium white, but has two distinct characteristics. There are not many flaky hulls, yet it pops fluffy and meaty white. It is a favorite of many
Customer Review: Excellent
This is some "excellent" popcorn. It pops up very nicely and is "far and away" better than the "Orville" that you've been popping. Very fine, almost non-existent "hulls" when it pops. Easy on the teeth and a very "clean" taste. Like "Mikey" says, "Try it, you'll like it".
Customer Review: Simply the Best
There's no other on the market as good as this. I've ordered it many times. My family wouldn't settle for anything less. Simply the Best.

Earth's Best Country Dinner 2nd Chicken Brown Rice, 4 Ounce Jars (Pack of 12)
Organically grown, without potentially harmful pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth.
Customer Review: My baby loves this
My six month old baby loves the Earth's Best 2nd Chicken Brown Rice. He seems to love al the Earth's Best 2nd foods - fruits, vegetables, and dinners. The consistency of the food makes it easy for him to eat - not too thick, not too thin.
Customer Review: actually edible babyfood
[...] Earth's Best 2nd Chicken Brown Rice, with salt added, is at least edible, if not high on the gourmet scale. I am 65 and recovering (slowly) from stomach surgery. Babyfood is recommended. Most of the babyfood I've tried is inedible. This, with enough salt, is rather reminiscent of chicken and rice soup. I actually finished the whole jar.

Billboard #1s: Classic Country
Customer Review: Three Reasons Why
There are three simple factors that make "Billboard #1's: Classic Country" a superior choice when compared to other similar compilations. First of all, the 30 songs included were all bona fide hits in their day, an interesting mix of instantly recognizable standards (like Loretta Lynn's "Coal Miner's Daughter" and Johnny Cash's "I Walk the Line") and half-forgotten gems that are ripe for rediscovery and renewed appreciation (like The Browns' "Three Bells" and Jim Reeves' "Four Walls"). Sure, one could quibble about why certain songs were included while another favorite by the same singer was left out, but overall the selections chosen comprise a wonderful overview of popular country music from the mid 1950's through the late 1980's. Secondly, the songs included are the original hits performed by the original artists, as opposed to re-recordings of those hits by their original artists. The difference is more important than you might at first believe. Several other compilations include Ray Price's "For The Good Times" ... but it's a newer version in which the older Price doesn't display the same magnificent vocal range. Here you get the powerful 1970 original which was recorded when Mr. Price's voice was in peak condition. Ditto Lynn Anderson's "Rose Garden", Roger Miller's "King of the Road", and several other songs. Finally, each and every song on this collection has been painstakingly remastered and sounds crystal clear, as if it was recorded recently. That's high praise indeed considering that a few of these tracks date back more than half a century! But in fact, even some of the more recent songs sound better than they did on their original CD releases, when the technology used to transfer analog recordings to digital format was less advanced. So there you have them, the three reasons you should seriously consider choosing this 2 disc set if you're in the market for a compilation of country classics ... Selection, Authenticity, and Quality. Enjoy!
Customer Review: Gift well received
This was purchased as a Christmas gift. The person I gave it to is really enjoying the music.

Let's Get Out of This Country
Literate, recombinant indie-pop doesn't get much better than Scottish act Camera Obscura. And Let's Get Out of This Country, their third album, is easily their best yet. The male-female vocals of their first two albums are gone, as John Henderson's left the band. But as the album was recorded in Sweden with Jari Haapalainen, the dude who helped the Concretes achieve their Spector-ish, candy-coated sheen, the same charms are at work here. "Dory Previn" is a slow country rocker that recalls the pastoral sound of the sorely-missed band Opal, while other songs are more organ-driven and rollicking. Lead singer-songwriter Tracyanne Campbell's lyrics are smart, wonderful, and direct ("You can't see that you're the same as all the stupid people that you hate / I'm not saying I'm free from blame because I need all the friends I can get"). This is orchestral pop that's immaculately produced and fun as hell, even though the protagonists of the songs readily, almost selflessly dive into the sloppiest of romantic situations ("I've got my life of complication here to sort out"). --Mike McGonigal
Customer Review: Exceptionally pretty songs
Lead by Tracyanne Campbell, few bands can match Camera Obscura's lilting amalgam of prettified country pop and sheer craft. Their just released "My Maudlin Career" will likely rank amoung the top three albums of the year but this cd is worth owning as well. "Underchievers Please Try Harder" released in 2004 wedded a lo-fi 50's sock hop sound to a modern indie band veneer to charming effect. "Lets Get..." is less coy, more fleshed out and broader in tone. "If Looks Could Kill" taps Motown and the celestial melodic bliss of closer "Razzle Dazle Rose" is a straight faced cousin to The Smiths "Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others." What prevents this album from 5 star status is it never truly breaks out of its shell and is too insular to make a larger cultural impact but there is no denying the beauty on display here.
Customer Review: Third Time's a Charm
The first two Camera Obscura albums were very good. The band's third effort, LET'S GET OUT OF THIS COUNTRY is simply great. It was produced in Sweden by Jari Haapalainen (who also brings out the best in The Concretes). People call this sound "twee pop." Depending on your perspective, that term may or may not make this album sound appetizing. Just listen. You'll be charmed. Standout tracks: "Lloyd, I'm Ready to be Heartbroken," "Tears for Affairs," "Dory Previn," "Lets Get Out of this Country," "The False Contender," and "Razzle Dazzle Rose."

Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music Director's Cut (40th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition and BD-Live with Amazon Exclusive Bonus Content) [Blu-ray]
This director’s cut of Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music, released to coincide with the 40th anniversary of that legendary concert event, has to be one of the most impressive Blu-Ray releases of 2009 or any other year--and that’s even before you put the discs in your player. The box is designed to resemble a faux fringe jacket (with an iron-on patch attached), and inside are all manner of shiny bells and whistles, including a lucite paperweight with images from the event, a reprint of LIFE Magazine’s original festival feature, and reproductions of various Woodstock memorabilia, right down to notes left by concertgoers ("Please meet me in front of stage. I have your insulin pills") and a three-day ticket to the event. And hey, if you’re looking for subtitles in Finnish, Thai, or Polish, you’ve come to the right place.

The movie itself now weighs in at nearly four hours long, and is presumably the way director Michael Wadleigh wanted it in the first place. The Blu-Ray transfer is definitely an upgrade, as is the soundtrack, which was originally recorded on 8-track tape under less-than-ideal conditions. (Using modern digital technology, audio engineer Eddie Kramer, who was hunkered down in what passed for a recording booth at the Woodstock site, has painstakingly restored the soundtrack--even bringing in some of the musicians to re-play their original parts, as on Santana’s “Evil Ways,” one of the previously unreleased bonus performances. Considering that the event is something of a sacred cow by now, this trick may strike some as blasphemous. Then again, this is hardly the first time that a live concert recording has been sweetened, re-recorded, or otherwise enhanced. In fact, it'd be hard to find one that wasn't. And the additions would have gone largely unnoticed if we hadn't been told about them.) In the end, though, there’s only so much improvement possible, and Woodstock was never about technical brilliance anyway. Nor was it mostly about the music, either. Nor was it mostly about the music, either. There are some terrific performances, from acoustic numbers by Richie Havens and Crosby, Stills & Nash to powerful electric contributions from Santana, Sly & the Family Stone, and Joe Cocker. But the truth is that Monterey Pop, which happened two years earlier, was the more exciting concert, and of the several artists who appeared on both bills (including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, the Who, Jefferson Airplane, and others), all of them made better music at the California festival. But Woodstock was always less a concert than an overall cultural happening, and Wadleigh and his crew, often employing an effective split-screen technique, do a superb job of corralling and conveying the remarkable atmosphere and spirit of it; you didn’t have to be there to recognize that this was the zenith of the Age of Aquarius (it was also the twilight; with Altamont looming, things would never be this peaceful and idealistic again).

Of principal interest on the second disc will be two hours of additional musical performances, including both additional tunes by those who are in the main feature and appearances by five artists who for various reasons (ego, money, quality, time) never made it into the film at all; of the latter, Creedence Clearwater Revival is excellent, Paul Butterfield and Johnny Winter are good, Mountain is mediocre, and the Grateful Dead, with an interminable (38 minutes!) "Turn on Your Love Light," are awful (a special Blu-Ray-only feature lets users organize this material as they see fit). Meanwhile, "From Festival to Feature," a new, hour-long look at the making of the movie, is absorbing and minutely detailed. The Amazon-exclusive content (included on disc 2) is an additional 20 minutes of never-before-seen performance footage in high definition from Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Country Joe and the Fish plus three bonus featurettes. --Sam Graham

Bear Creek Country Kitchens Split Pea Soup Mix, 8.4-Ounce Bags (Pack of 6)
Bear Creek 8-Serving Soup Mix, Split Pea, 10 Ounces (Pack of 6)
Customer Review: Great soup but tooooo much salt
Why do soup makers kill us with salt? why cant they let us put some in if we want it. i ended up doubling the water and adding split peas to try to get the salt content per bowl down.
Customer Review: WONDERFUL FLAVOR
We had this for dinner last night and it was so good! I like my pea soup a little thicker so next time I think I will add a tad less water for it seemed a little thin to me as directed. But the taste is great! I added some cubed ham and it was a winner!

Customer Review: vegetable soup- metalic taste
The soup is good and hearty, but the metalic taste is really off-putting. What causes the taste?
Customer Review: After several tries, I still don't like it
The first time I tried Healthy Choice soup I noticed a distinct metallic aftertaste. I figured it was just a one-time thing so I bought some more and tried it again. The Country Vegetable Soup has a very sharp metallic aftertaste, just can't ignore it. Not a big fan, won't buy it again.

Customer Review: Classic, gorgeous full red color and long lasting lip stain
I purchased the red poppy colored lipstick from AVON and have never owned a lipstick before. The red poppy color is very rich warm red. In certain lighting, it made my lips look a funny orange. Very smooth application, I thought the little AVON logo printed into the base of the lipstick looked cute. If you only apply it once all day, color remains even with chap stick or lip gloss applications. Do not buy the poppy color unless you are going for a '30-'40's style lip color; it's a very intense, second look worthy spicy red color. Five stars for meeting my expectations, good lip color stain remained after many hours from original application. Worth the $1.99, (and the $5.95 shipping I paid when I ordered it).

Swagman XC2 2-Bike Platform Hitch Rack
The Swagman® XTC2 platform-style bike rack attaches easily to your trailer hitch to accommodate nearly any style of bicycle. It fits children and adult bikes, downhill bikes, cruisers, full-suspension bikes, small BMX racers, Y frame designs, and much more. No need to remove the wheels; Swagman's® unique ratchet hooks hold the bike securely. The XYC2 model fits both 2" and 1 1/4" receiver hitches.
Customer Review: Great Bike Rack-One model fits for both 2-inch and 1-1/4 inch receivers
I purchased the model with the 2-inch receiver. I then realized my hitch was a 1-1/4" receiver. I figured I would have to return this for the more expensive 1-1/4" model. To my surprise the packaging states that it fits both sizes. I put together the rack and sure enough it is made to fit the 1-1/4" receivers and includes an adapter for 2" receivers. I now have it installed on my 2008 Ford Escape and it works great. There is a bit of a wobble, but as long as you don't have it permanently installed, it shouldn't be much of an issue. As to why the 1-1/4" model is more expensive, I am baffled.
Customer Review: Almost a good product but choose something else.
A platform bike rack is far superior to a hanging rack and I thought the Swagman XC2 would be a good compromise between functionality and price. The Swagman is reasonably well made but I ran into several problems which would make me change my purchase decision. First, I have a Specialized CrossTrail with a large frame. The vertical mast for the hooks is not tall enough to accommodate this frame unless you turn the wheel loops upside down and shift the bike so far to one side that the loop mount overhangs the end of the horizontal beam by 1". Secondly, the bolted-on 2" receiver adapter is not 2" and leaves so much slop that the whole rack wobbles back and forth within the hitch. So, the bikes are firmly on the rack when moving but the rack is swaying all over the place. Lastly, the ridiculous screw-type hitch pin adds to the overall slop because their hitch pin is not sized to the hitch pin hole in the receiver. Also it makes it impossible to use a locking hitch pin. Whoever "engineered" this beautiful feature has never transported a bicycle. There are better platform racks on the market and I would suggest investing in one of those.

Country Ham
Customer Review: Clower/Country Ham
Same good old country humor as one would expect from Jerry Clower. As usal spoken from experience that so well fits the times of the past. As with any humorist there are some repeats from the past albums mixed in with the new ones, but this is to be expected and it will make you go and hunt the old ones you have put away. It is surprising to some of the new listeners that this type of comedy exists in the first place, and all of the stories are new to them.
Customer Review: Jerry Clower rules
try this and Im sure you will like it..All his best!

Country Life Maxi Hair Maximized, 60 Tablets
Country Life Maxi Hair Maximized, 60 tabs
Customer Review: These REALLY work!
I'm a "pushing 40" woman, and I've watched my hair, skin and nails all suffer that mid-life change. Additionally, my nails have NEVER been any good; they have always been paper-thin and peeled any time I've tried to grow them. I've tried several supplements geared toward hair/nail growth and have always been disappointed. After seeing a ton of 5 star reviews for this product on another site, I decided to try them. The jury is still out on my skin (it's winter, too, so I will likely see the results more clearly in the summer), but as for my nails and hair, I've really seen a tremendous improvement! My nails are actually LONG, for once in my life--and to my surprise, they are even stronger than my husband's! My hair is growing quickly--which I am able to gauge by how much more frequently I have to color my hair! As for the person who gave this a "1" and said they smell like fish and make your urine dark yellow---I think she might want to look at other things in her lifestyle. These WILL turn your urine BRIGHTER yellow, but it's no big deal. As for the smell, that's a crock. They smell like ANY vitamin that contains Vit."A" and "B"....and actually, the smell is much milder than most multivitamins! Another plus is that they DO NOT UPSET MY STOMACH--even when I take BOTH on an empty stomach. I had to work myself up to be brave enough for that, since other vitamins have actually made my stomach so upset I've had to purge them before. So....long story short, TAKE A CHANCE with these. They're cheap, and they're great!
Customer Review: After my Pregnancy
I LOVE these vitamins!! I 1st decided to get these for my little sister who as a baby used to pull her hair out and rolled and rocked herself to sleep. This left a bald spot in the back of her for years. I had to get creative to comb her hair everytime. Recently we discovered these hair vitamins at Whole Food Market. They have a varity of vitamins but these where well priced and worked fine with her diet and other medicine's. she also has a kidney disorder so we have to be careful of what vitamins she can have. We started giving her these vitamins in 2006 right after Hurricane Katrina, and as you know stress can reduce your hair growth! she was 10 years old and her hair length was to her neck and still very short in the back of her head. I never cut her hair to make it all even! You dont have to do that for your hair to grow! I trimmed her hair everytime I gave her a relaxer and she took her vitamins everyday. she is 14 now and her hair is now shoulder length and soooo healthy! As for me I just had a baby and my hair was falling out horribly during the 9 months. I didnt start to take the vitamins until after I gave birth which would be Jan 14,2009. My hair and nails are growing so much I cant keep up with it!! I am African American and I live in a hot and humid climate so my hair is showing all signs of growth! I am very impressed with that part of it. I have only 1 problem it stops me up where I cant use the bathroom!! I dont know if its because I just had a baby and my body is not back to normal so I have lowered my dosage to 1 vitamin every other day instead of 2 per day. I have a very healthy diet I drink plenty of water and eat fruits all day!Because I am breastfeeding and I wanna loose the baby weight, so i am very conscience of what I put into my body. Im gonna keep going with them for now, but I will keep a close eye on the the progress.

The Forgotten Garden: A Novel
From the internationally bestselling author of The House at Riverton, an unforgettable new novel that transports the reader from the back alleys of poverty of pre-World War I London to the shores of colonial Australia where so many made a fresh start, and back to the windswept coast of Cornwall, England, past and present

A tiny girl is abandoned on a ship headed for Australia in 1913. She arrives completely alone with nothing but a small suitcase containing a few clothes and a single book -- a beautiful volume of fairy tales. She is taken in by the dockmaster and his wife and raised as their own. On her twenty-first birthday they tell her the truth, and with her sense of self shattered and with very little to go on, "Nell" sets out on a journey to England to try to trace her story, to fi nd her real identity. Her quest leads her to Blackhurst Manor on the Cornish coast and the secrets of the doomed Mountrachet family. But it is not until her granddaughter, Cassandra, takes up the search after Nell's death that all the pieces of the puzzle are assembled. At Cliff Cottage, on the grounds of Blackhurst Manor, Cassandra discovers the forgotten garden of the book's title and is able to unlock the secrets of the beautiful book of fairy tales.

This is a novel of outer and inner journeys and an homage to the power of storytelling. The Forgotten Garden is fi lled with unforgettable characters who weave their way through its spellbinding plot to astounding effect.

Morton's novels are #1 bestsellers in England and Australia and are published in more than twenty languages. Her fi rst novel, The House at Riverton, was a New York Times bestseller.
Customer Review: Wonderful multi-generational mystery. Loved it!
PARENTS AND TEACHERS - no profanity or graphic sex. References to brief adulterous relationship. Description of children living in abject poverty during Victorian era, one violent accidental death. Recommended for kids 12 and over. I loved this book! It took a while to get going (that's why I only gave it four stars) but once I was hooked I read each page with relish. This is a mystery set in modern times, but it flashes back to multiple historical time periods and is told in more than one voice. The reader is in on secrets before the protagonist, but very little is actually given away until the end. One of the most entertaining things about this book was how I found myself constantly speculating about "what happened" often thinking I had figured a few things out. Then I'd find out I was completely wrong - I loved that cat and mouse aspect of the writing. The conclusion was very satisfying. My only criticism of the writing style would be that the Victorian era characters seemed like Dickensonian Wannabees. Overall I would recommend the book to readers who like mysteries, puzzles, and a little romance.
Customer Review: A novel to curl up with on a rainy day
From the opening of this tantalizing tale, in which a small girl (little more than a baby, we are told) is found abandoned when a ship from England docks in Australia, unable to remember even her name--I was completely drawn into this beautiful novel and read the entire book in one day--I didn't even put it down for meals! Although it was sometimes confusing the way the author jumped between times, characters, and places, this contemporary fairy tale of sorts will enchant those readers who love a romantic read that takes you into another world. This novel has layer upon layer of mystery, intriguing characters, and exotic settings, including Cornwall and Australia. Lovers of The Secret Garden and dark fairy tales will especially enjoy the way Frances Hodgson Burnett and original fairy tales (supposedly written by one of the characters) are intertwined in the novel.

Another Country
If the first step brings critical acclaim and the second garners Grammy® consideration, what could be in line for North Carolina native Tift Merritt since a 2002 emergence that left critics scrambling for adjectives? The talented singer/songwriter has often been miscast as a country artist, and Another Country is an opportunity to leave that moniker behind. She dips slightly into the genre, such as on the country rocker "Something to Me," the lead track featuring guitarist Charlie Sexton and sweet organ trimmings from bandmate Danny Eisenberg. From there the record sways into a flurry of styles, and Merritt never misses a beat. The blue-eyed soul of "Morning is My Destination" recalls Dusty in Memphis, while "Tell Me Something True" is an R&B nugget that has the breezy Merritt sounding eerily like Diana Ross. Elements of rock, folk, and blues pervade, and producer George Drakoulias (Black Crowes, the Jayhawks) stays out of the way, allowing Merritt’s voice to embody the songs, all 11 of which flow from start to finish, uninterrupted and primed for full-on stardom. --Scott Holter
Customer Review: Emotive, thoughtful, sweet recording
Well, here I am back in the middle of the night reviewing a CD, listening on my headphones. I have listened to Tift Merritt before, but never reviewed anything by her. This is a really well done recording, it reminds me a bit of Shelby Lynne's last CD. The CD where she sings Dusty Springfield songs. It was another artists idea that she finally got around to. Well, let me tell you a bit of the story of "Another Country". Tift took off for Paris, France to stay in a friend's small apartment with a piano. All that she did was exist, play piano, write music, hang out with other artists and came back with some great material, that in the finished version sort of follows a theme. I really think this is going to be a great year for music, as soon as I took off six weeks to review some guitar pedals, all of these great CDs started coming out, I can't wait to get into Carlene Carter's new music, great stuff, from what I have heard. When times get tough, usually good music starts coming out as well as other artistic mediums. I will say that will I was playing the best guitar pedals in the land, my passion for playing came back, even with my chronic pain, I'm loving it again. Sometimes we need to do something different to get our inspiration back, for Merritt, it was go to Paris. She has made an awesome disc. Playing with some hot studio musicians, she really puts out some great, live sounding music. "Keep You Happy" is a ballad with acoustic guitar picking in beginning and some bell like (sounding)lead guitar. Doug Sax mastered this already great recording. I love the guitar playing of Charlie Sexton and Doug Pettibone. Produced by George Drakoulas. Some strings in the background of this song. "I Know What I'm Looking For Now" is an acoustic rhythmic sound with drums and full band. this recording tells the story of her Paris trip. More great guitar playing here, pedal steel with delay, just tonally grabbing. Some nice back ground vocals on this song. "Tell Me Something True" is a rocker with some horns and great lyrics. "My Heart Is free" rocks like a Mindy Smith song. The guitars are cooking, great melody. Another great set of lyrics. "Tender Branch" is a tender song that like a lot of these songs have a very live vibe. Oh Boy, there goes that guitar again, "increditone", Merritt's songwriting is nothing short of inspired on this disc. She finishes the disc singing a song in French, "Mille Tendresses". This CD picks up where Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer left off. Just really hot inspired music. I love it. This is a must check out. www.tiftmerritt.com
Customer Review: Understated elegance
I really liked Tift Merrit's previous CD, "Tambourine," and bought "Another Country" as soon as I saw it on a display at a store. Her voice truly is gorgeous, and the lyrical content of her songs on this CD is very personal and accessible. That being said, I must admit that I was a little disappointed the first several times that I listened to "Another Country" because of how understated it is--it didn't just reach out and grab my attention as much as I had expected that it would. After a few repeated listens, however, I learned to more fully appreciate its understated elegance. I highly recommend this artist and CD. "Tambourine" also is very good.

Country Bluegrass Homecoming, Vol. 1
Customer Review: Needs title change
Although I always enjoy the Gaither Homecoming selections, this one is very misleading when it is titled as bluegrass. There are a few good bluegrass songs on it but there are also many of the entertainers and songs that are not bluegrass by any stretch of the imagination. Having said that, there is one song by Vince Gill on the album that makes the purchase worth while.
Customer Review: Shows Gaither's Excellence
I have enjoyed watching this video, as have my friends a few times and like all Bill Gaither's videos it is excellent

Polar Insulated Water Bottle
Double-wall construction with insulating thermal layer keeps solar heat outside and polar temperatures inside. Wide mouth opening for easy filling. Soft rubber bite valve for comfortable hydration on the fly. Fits standard bicycle cages. Dishwasher safe.
Customer Review: Stiff bottle that leaks
I ordered this bottle and it leaked all over the place. I thought it was defective and exchanged it for another one. The new bottle just leaked less. No matter how hard I screwed the top, water would always get out. The sides are also stiff and hard to squeeze and the water does have a bit of a plastic aftertaste. I do not recommend this bottle.
Customer Review: Polar insulated water bottles
I have been using these bottles for about a year and they hold up well. They are a great bottle, easy to clean and leaves little to no taste in the liquids. The removable pull up top is a bit stiff but does come out.

English composer Robert Prizeman has taken a conventional English boy's choir--usually a haven for sweet songs and ecclesiastical renderings--and made them contemporary without selling out any of their intrinsic charm. Their stacked choral voices and lead sopranos, dressed up with electronica rhythms, synthesizers, and strings still sound like they could be coming from the church balcony, even while they exude an Enya-like appeal. While there are adaptations of Gregorian chants and Sibelius hymns, most of the songs are Prizeman originals based on those styles, with texts often drawn from Latin Liturgy. Except for the chilled romanticism of "Stay With Me," and the rhythm driven "Adoramus," whose chorus sounds like a Harry Potter incantation, few of the songs on Free have the anthemic pop appeal of "Salva Me" or "Vespera" from previous albums. Instead, Prizeman has opted for a more serene sound on Free, even with their first video from the disc, the yearning "I Am the Day." Some of it, like Prizeman's setting of a Walter de la Mare poem on "A Song of Enchantment," gets lugubrious. But most of Free floats on gentle soprano breezes, intrinsically innocent, even if the boys might be smoking cigarettes behind the altar. --John Diliberto
Customer Review: The Voice of Heaven
The vocals are soothing and lovely. The contemporary touches set the music of Libera apart from any other boys' choirs and elevates the group to a special place. I never get tired of listening to this CD. The sound is very spiritual and helps me feel calm and at peace. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: POWERFUL MUSIC!
I bought this cd as it was recommended by a friend after I had been on a spiritual retreat. I was looking for the kind of music we listened to in doing some meditation. And that's exactly what i like this cd for! it's great for relaxing, sleeping, calming down, and especially meditating enjoy!

GARMIN 010-10644-00 Speed/Cadence Sensor
A good companion for Garmin's Edge 305 and 305CAD cycle computers and the Garmin Forerunner 305 personal trainer, the GSC 10 monitors your cycling rhythm for up-to-the-minute results and later analysis. The self-calibrating, wireless unit measures both speed (in pedaling strokes per minute) and cadence , then provides feedback to the user for optimal performance. You can later feed the results to Garmin's Training Center software, which helps you tailor your workouts to meet specific goals and objectives.

Like the Garmin heart rate monitor, the GSC 10 attaches easily to your bike, where its sensors detect signals from your wheels and send the information wirelessly to your personal trainer/cycle computer. It's also backed by a one-year warranty.
Customer Review: Pain to set up but it seems to work well
I have a mountain bike and found that my spoke assembly did not readily accommodate the magnet for the spokes. However, after some finagling I was able to get the magnet to work and have had it work reliably for a month. Once it is placed, it works well.
Customer Review: Works very good but.....
This product works as expected but you have to check the cadence in your bike profile. This was not written anywhere and took me some time to figure out. Excellent product ! Highly recommend.

Bath & Body Works Country Apple Body Lotion 8.0 oz
This fresh combination of ripe, red apples and creamy blossoms is as delightful as an orchard in springtime.
Customer Review: Country Apple
Country apple scent makes me think of childhood in the country: a stroll down the apple orchard; a bucket of newly picked apples; fresh peeled apples cooking and will soon be turned into pies. Apple scent is one of the most special scents to me. I love anything homey and cozy. And how much more homey can you get than apples? This scent is not just apple, but country apple, which makes it that much better. This scent is refreshing, with a hint of natural sweetness. It is also strong, which I like, but it also means you can use less and make it last longer. Being splattered in country apple lotion is pure heaven.

Killer Country
Customer Review: A Curious Mix For Sure
Believe me when I say that there is no bigger fan of Jerry Lee Lewis than I. I have everything he put to vinyl (and new stuff on CD since) and am always on the lookout for something either new or previously unreleased. However, like some of the other reviewers I'm sort of ambivalent when it comes to this CD. I can't be my usual hyper-critical self in attacking it for including non-hits from his country years at Mercury since, after all, it doesn't offer itself as a "best of" or "greatest hits" compilation. And yet, when you consider that he chalked up 35 charters for Mercury and their Smash subsidiary between his first in 1964 [Pen And Paper - # 36 Country] and his last for that label combination in 1982 [I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry - # 43 Country in 1982], you'd think they could have provided a hit for each track instead of including the likes of uncharted B-sides like Walking The Floor Over You [which backed Another Place Another Time in 1968], and Jack Daniels Old No. 7 which was the flip of No Headstone On My Grave - a # 60 Country in 1973 and itself omitted here. Also, indifferent non-charters which weren't even the flips of hits, like The Hole He Said He'd Dig For Me, Waitin' For A Train [the 1970 hit version was done while at Sun and released in 1970 to go to # 11 Country b/w the wicked Big Legged Woman], and You're All Too Ugly Tonight, could have been left off in favour of selections like Pen And Paper, Would You Take Another Chance On Me? - the A-side to Me And Bobby McGee and a # 1 Country in 1971/72, and - a real hard-to-find Jerry Lee country hit - I Can Still Hear The Music In The Restroom - # 13 in 1975. Then again, they do include probably the best version ever recorded of Merle Haggard's Workin' Man Blues, and the pounding Pee Wee's Place - both of which SHOULD have charted. Also, there are three pages of informative liner notes written by Colin Escott covering his Mercury/Smash years, although they do not provide a discography of the contents. It's hard for this die-hard JLL fan not to award 5 stars, but the fact remains this compilation could have been so much better.
Customer Review: Jerry Lee - The Original and Only Killer !
Back in 1969 I was 15 years old. I lied my age and got a job working on a National Brewery Beer truck making deliveries in the west Baltimore section of that city. At the end of the work day the Driver I worked with stopped at a joint on West Baltimore St to fill out the manifest, the name of the place was "Fred's Sports Bar". While waiting I would drink pony bottled of National and play the juke box. In 1969 there was a lot of good Country out. I remember many of my favorates like "Never more quote the Raven" by Stonewall Jackson or "I got stripes" by Johnny but what I dug the most was Jerry Lee Lewis who in '69 was pure honky tonk country. I was already a huge fan of Jerry's Rock & Roll music and had many good 45's and LP's but when I first heard stuff like "What's made Milwaukee famous (has made a loser out of me) I was again hooked on the Killer. Being a die hard Classic Country and Western Swing fan I thought Jerry was right up there with the likes of Bob Wills and Moon Mulligan (Jerry's own original idol). This set is so Outstanding that 5 stars don't cut it. Those country hits he did while at Mercury are some of the Best Country ever recorded. If you are even just a Rock fan of Jerry's you will love this collection as do the rest of us Hillbillys! "Enjoy" Joe Kopeck Parkville/MD

Wrought Iron Floor Lamp Flame Top - Amish Made
Our hand wrought iron pieces are made for us in the Lancaster County PA Amish Community. With classic style and functional design these versatile pieces blend into most decorating schemes. This floor lamp is sometimes called a "Quilter's Lamp" because it adjusts up or down making it nice for reading or sewing or other close work. At its tallest with the bulb in place it is 5 ft tall. This has a handwrought flametop. It is nice and sturdy-the crossed leg base keeps it from tipping easily. This will require easy assembly-a pliers is all you will need. A 10 inch wide clip on lampshade will work well with this lamp but is not included. It takes a three-way bulb(not included) and has a nice long cord.
Customer Review: Wrought iron adjustable arm floor lamp
Purchased this floor lamp for my aunt who needed an adjustable arm floor lamp. My aunt loves it!
Customer Review: Lamp Review

High Country Snows
Customer Review: Bluegrass Dan
Dan makes his foray into bluegrass and does a fantastic job. With backing vocals and instrumentalist from some of Nashville's finest, this album can stand with anything Fogelberg has ever done. This album should be in all of his fans collections. I wonder if he may have continued in this vein if it were'nt for his untimely death. RIP Dan.
Customer Review: High Country Snows is great!
High Country Snows is classic Fogelberg with great talent from Nashville! I would say it may be his crowning achievement. It's everything you liked about Dan Fogelberg over the last couple of decades. Sadly, there won't be any more from this wonderful talent. If you ever liked his music, you have to have this.

Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music, Vol. 1 & 2
Expanded and remastered reissue of the 1962 classic album and its successful follow-up. Packaged together for the very first time, volume 2 has never-before been available on CD! For Ray Charles, this music represented the culmination of a lifelong love affair he shared for Country & Western music. It vastly expanded his pop demographic and made countless new country converts by giving these 24 songs a soul-steeped urban dimension.
Customer Review: The genius of soul re-imagines the Nashville songbook
Originally released on ABC-Paramount in 1962, Modern Sounds in Country and Western, was a revelation, both for fans of country music and for fans of Ray Charles. The former had never heard their favorites orchestrated with the depth of soul brought to the table by Ray Charles, and fans of the genius singer had never before heard him indulging his love of country songwriting so deeply. Nashville had adapted to brass and strings in an attempt to create crossover hits, but their charts and players never swung with the sort of big band finesse and bravado of these arrangements, and their vocalists rarely found the grooves mined by Charles. The second volume, issued the same year, follows the same template, with Nashville standards rearranged and conducted by Gerald Wilson and Marty Paich, and recording split between New York and Hollywood. Having been a country music fan since his youth, Charles evidently didn't hear any line that would separate him from the Nashville songbook. His recording supervisor, Sid Feller, was tasked with gathering songs, and ABC, thinking the whole ideas was a lark, left the pair alone to follow Charles' muse. The album spun off four hit singles, including a chart-topping remake of Don Gibson's "I Can't Stop Loving You" and a heartbreaking cover of Cindy Walker's "You Don't Know Me" that fell just one rung shy of the top. Marty Paich's strings brilliantly underline and shadow Charles' vocals, adding atmosphere without ever intruding or overwhelming the singer or the song. Track after track, Charles, his arrangers and his band find wholly new ways through these songs, turning "Half as Much" into mid-tempo jazz, layering string flourishes into "Born to Lose," laying the blues on "It Makes No Difference Now" and punching up "Bye Bye Love" and "Hey Good Lookin'" with big band sizzle. Volume two may not have been as much of a surprise, but neither was it a second helping. Gerald Wilson's soul vision of "You Are My Sunshine," expertly rendered by Charles and a swinging horn section, leaves few traces of the song's mid-20th century origin. Charles, spurred by backing vocals from the Raeletts, sounds like he's reeling off a personal tale of devotion rather than singing someone else's lyric. The Raeletts provide an edge to side one's New York sessions, with the Jack Halloran Singers sitting in on side two's Hollywood takes. Both album sides yielded hit singles, including a pained reading of "Take These Chains From My Heart," and a slow, mournful take on "You're Cheating Heart." As with the first volume, Charles finds a directness in country songwriting that matches the expression he developed with the blues. Country music and Charles' career each received a boost from these albums. Nashville expanded its audience outside its core region, Nashville songwriters found new ears for their songs, and Charles gained an influx of fans who might otherwise have never bought R&B records. These were all lasting marks, as Charles' fame continued to expand, and country music gained new flavors for its crossover dreams. Concord's reissue includes the two volumes' original twenty-four tracks, full-panel cover art (front and back!), original liner notes for each, and new liners by Bill Dahl. Volume one previously appeared as a standalone CD in the 1980s, but the complete volume two only appeared on the (out-of-print) box set The Complete Country & Western Recordings 1959-1986. This single disc is the perfect way to get Charles' 1962 country sessions in one sweet package. [©2009 hyperbolium dot com]
Customer Review: Convenient on one CD
The editorial is not exactly true when is states that MSICWM Volume 2 has never appeared on CD before. All but 3 tracks were released in 1992 by Castle Communications (Australia) stating that the tracks were digitally remixed by Ray Charles and Steve Hoffman from the original 1962-1965 ABC-Paramount session masters. I can only assume that this same CD was made available in other countries, as they would hardly go to all that trouble for a country with a total population of 20 million, not all of which would buy the disc. MSICWM Volume 1 issued by Rhino in 1988 also included a track from Volume 2, "You are my sunshine". This may all sound like nit-picking, but Concord must have known all this when they wrote their press release. While it is great to have both albums conveniently on one CD, the sound quality of this new remaster isn't all that different from the Rhino release of 21 years ago, so this disc's greatest asset is the complete Volume 1 & 2 being available on the one disc. As for the content, what can you say ? The man was a genius and these are classic recordings that will remain in the catalogue forever. I'm just disappointed that there wasn't a significant improvement in the sound quality. I know Concord can do it, as they lovingly restored Ray Sings Basie Swings and mastered it in DSD and 24 bit/96 kHZ, which sounds fantastic. Maybe they will consider releasing a high resolution version of this disc, to satisfy those who want audiophile standard releases. Either way, the recordings are masterpieces. Country Life Daily Total One A Day, without Iron, 60 Vegetarian Capsules
Country Life Daily Total One A Day (without Iron), 60 vegicaps

Patriotic Country, Vol. 2
Patriotic Country 2 is the follow-up to 2004’s popular debut, Patriotic Country. It serves the dual purpose of providing entertainment for country music fans as well as raising awareness for the Armed Services YMCA, a charity supporting the families of junior enlisted military personnel. Patriotic Country 2 features 17 popular, patriotic-themed songs from today’s hottest stars and the legends of country music. Patriotic Country 2 is filled with chart-topping favorites including Alabama’s "Down Home" and Darryl Worley’s "Have You Forgotten," both of which rose to #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Other songs such as Buddy Jewell’s "Sweet Southern Comfort" and Aaron Tippin’s "You’ve Got to Stand for Something" have topped the Billboard Hot Country Recurrent Chart. American music for American heroes, Patriotic Country 2 is an uplifting project, helping to unite the nation behind a vital, common cause: support for our troops and military families. Artists appearing on Patriotic Country 2 are thrilled to be involved with this important national project. Aaron Tippin says "We are so blessed in America. Here’s a nice way to say thank you to the people who guarantee our freedom, and to remember the enormous sacrifices their families make." John Conlee, who dedicates the Army’s offical new anthem, "They Also Serve" to the CD, agrees. "I feel so strongly about this. We have to do everything we can to support the families of our men and women in uniform." In addition to helping Americans remember the sacrifices our troops make every day, Patriotic Country 2 will raise awareness of the Armed Services YMCA. S. Frank Gallo, RADM USN (Ret.), National Executive Director of the Armed Services YMCA explains, "The Armed Services YMCA works tirelessly to enrich the lives of the families of junior enlisted military personnel. We are proud to be involved in this incredible effort, and are delighted to have the support and enthusiasm of all Americans who seek new ways to show their appreciation for our young men and women in uniform." The Armed Services YMCA has branches located on or near 34 U.S. military installations around the world and serves more than 450,000 people each year.
Customer Review: Where Are The Women???
I'm not a huge fan of country music but occasionally I do hear a song I like. I was exposed to this CD by a friend. While these are some great songs, I was sort of disappointed by the fact that there's almost NO songs on there by females. There's some TERRIFIC female voices in country music today and what??? They couldn't get any of them to sing on this disc? I gave it three stars for the lack of female talent.
Customer Review: love of our country is alive and well
great music that fills ones heart with respect and pride for our heroes-the US armed forces and freedom and democracy.

Music from the North Country: The Jayhawks Anthology(Deluxe Edition)

This double-CD-plus-DVD set gathers together b-sides, rarities, and previously unreleased material. The package was put together under the guidance of Gary Louris.

Sky & Country
Fly is a leaderless collective comprised of three influential American jazz musicians Mark Turner, Larry Grenadier and Jeff Ballard are all powerful individual voices in the jazz community (One, both or all have graced the performances and recordings of Chick Corea, Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Pat Metheny, Charles Lloyd, to name just a few.) who have created a cohesive unit that expresses each part while creating an uniquely realized whole. In other words, they celebrate the group, without sacrificing the individual. In the era of individual "star" instrumentalists, the idea of a truly collective trio can be a difficult concept to fathom. Yet collectivity is what the FLY trio strives for; and collectivity is what they so unabashedly and unquestionably achieve. Ballard, Grenadier and Turner - all very sought-after session-musicians/side-men - represent three rather distinct musical personalities -- simultaneously complimentary and contrasting. "Because we've all been sidemen a lot, the idea of playing in a collective band--it's completely inclusive of everything we've done. All the experience of all the different bands we've played with is absorbed in this group." This is the ECM debut for Fly, a Fly provides the context in which all three players get to spread their wings as composers, "bringing together many musical elements, traditions, histories and mysteries," says Turner. The music is unique; it can be harmonically rich or very bare bones and often just simply beautiful.
Customer Review: A superb highly anticipated album !
Ir is very hard to say anything more than what was already stated in previous reviews but sometimes you just need to write something to say how much you liked an album and that gives you a reason to write a review. Even if I repeat what the other reviewers said it is a fantastic record, with fantastic musicians playing at their best. Mark Turner is incredible here even much better than in the 2004 release of FLY, everything seems more balanced, of course the ECM contributed to the great sound but it is more than that: it is only after listening to it several times and even more that you realize the importance of this recording, there is always more to discover, more to be attentive to... The coherence of the trio is just masterful. Highly recommended! Another incredible performance of Mark Turner was on the Delbecq Unit release of 2004 called "Phonetics". Check it out, it is also a fantastic record.
Customer Review: One of the best records of 2009
ECM always bring us superb music, this record is no exception ,is pure beautiful. What a sax, bass, drums trio!!!!!!

The Neuton CE 6.3
Battery-Powered Mower:

Located in Vermont, which was recently named by Forbes magazine as the USA’s greenest state, Neuton is dedicated to making the world’s most innovative and dependable battery-powered lawn and garden equipment. Designed for people who care about both the maintenance of their properties and the health of our environment, Neuton Mowers provide great results and reduce the noise and pollution of traditional gas-powered equipment. Mower, rear grass-collection bag, side discharge chute, 360-watt-hour battery, battery charger, and safety key.

Country Time Lemonade, 5lbs. 2.5 oz.Canisters (Pack of 2 )
Customer Review: Does the Happy Dance!
I buy this instead of sodas for my family. It does have sugar, but not High fructose corn syrup, so I think it is better for them. I don't drink it, but they mix it by the glass or the pitcher. It's easy to use, and the price here for subscribe and save is about the same price I used to pay at Sam's Club. Now I don't have to pay warehouse fees and I don't have to drag those heavy cans from the store to my car, from my car into my house. Amazon delivers it right to my front door! I'm a happy Amazon customer.

When my husband deploys, I feel alone, scared and yes worried.. As a military wife you usually aren't allowed to admit that.. :) This cd is amazing... I love it and it makes him being gone a lot easier.. I don't care what anyone says... We are in the right fight.. at the right time with the right President. I don't like him being gone.. But its worth it.. This CD makes me feel patriotic.. it tugs at my heartstrings.. makes me smile.. I can imagine driving with Private Andrew Malone.. I can feel proud to be an American... I can cry over "I'm already there.." All the songs make me smile... So yes.. worth every penny and more!!! God Bless America!!!
Customer Review: Nashville hacks singing for faux-patriotism
Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry, Aaron Tippin, Lee Greenwood, Neal McCoy, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Phil Vassar, The Warren Brothers, Dusty Drake, Hank Williams Jr., Alabama, The Charlie Daniels Band, David Ball, and Blackhawk. What do these artists have in common? Cutting edge musical geniuses? Gifted songwriters able to speak to a wide range of audiences? Innovators in their genre? Err, no. Actually what they all have in common is that they all appear on this package, created to commercially exploit the war on terrorism, one which contains songs like Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly, This Ain't No Rag, It's A Flag, and Back Where I Come From. In other words, maudlin, xenophobic, cliche filled, black/white dichotomous sentiments, and the lack of any attempt at rational or questioning political analysis, all set to fiddles and pedal steel guitars, and to be marketed and sold at Wal-Mart. I should add that I am not against patriotism, when it is intelligent and well informed; this, however, is dumb, reactionary faux-patriotism. Nothing is more so than the song God Bless the USA. As an American who loves his country, I can say that this song, with its syrupy sound and its naive lyrics, does not speak for me. I listened to a bit of this schlock on a plane ride a while back just to see how much of it I could take. The answer was - not very much. What little I could take made me want to drink, and heavily. Some of these performers, specifically Brooks and Dunn, Randy Travis, Charlie Daniels, and perhaps Kenny Chesney and even (I hate to admit) Toby Keith are actually fairly talented; others, like former lounge singer Lee Greenwood, Alabama, Montgomery Gentry, etc, are 3rd rate musical hacks. Ultimately, listening to this nonsense, I'm reminded that some of the greats of the genre, like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, George Jones, and Willie Nelson were neither knee-jerk reactionaries nor apologists for a ruling political party. Then again, Dusty Drake, Montgomery Gentry, and Blackhawk are no Johnny Cashes. Just Nashville hacks, soon to be forgotten.

Rockin' in the Country
Often heralded as one of the best vocalists in Country Music today, Daryle Singletary has enjoyed a long lasting relationship with his fans, his country music family and country radio. Daryle has unmistakably stamped his baritone vocals onto the hearts and souls of his peers in the business and his legion of fans. This album is his first new music release, with 8 new songs, in almost a decade.
Customer Review: A fine set, kind of on the mellow side
Daryle Singletary "Rockin' in the Country" (Koch Music, 2009) ----------------------------------------- Despite the rowdy-sounding album title, this is a softer set from Mr. Singletary, featuring plenty of romantic songs with emotionally mature lyrics that portray a thoughtful, macho vulnerability. This kind of "chick-friendly" commercial country can often seem contrived, but Singletary pulls it off pretty well on this disc. He gets points for timeliness on the current events weeper, "Real Estate Hands," about a bank foreclosure that helps end a marriage; another highlight is "That's Why God Made Me," a shameless tear-jerker about a childhood love affair that leads to marriage after the girl "gets into trouble" with another boy: our hero volunteers to marry her so that her parents will never know about the mistakes she made. And when the kid grows old enough to ask why he doesn't look like the rest of the family? Well, God sent daddy to help him, too. I know it's hokey, but I can't help myself... I got a little tear in my eye, too! Singletary's voice is as strong as ever, one of those rich, deep rumbles, like Merle Haggard or John Anderson... Sure sounds good to me! This one's on the slow side, but it's worth checking out. (DJ Joe Sixpack, Slipcue Guide To Country Music)
Customer Review: Finally.......he's back!
This album is amazing. Been a fan of Daryle's since day 1 and have seen him in concert twice. It's great to have a "REAL" country singer back! Getting sick and tired of the POP country crap they are shoving down our throats! This cd is amazing! Not one song to fast forward thru. Just put it in the cd player and let rotate all day! If it wasn't for Daryle or Jamey Johnson and a handful of others, country music would be a dead subject! These guys are bringing country back to COUNTRY! Buy this cd.

Amazing Grace, Vol. 3: A Country Salute to Gospel
Customer Review: Right man (or singer)
as a christian i love hymns. what christian doesn't like hymns? well this CD has some of my favroite hymns on it and they might not necessairly sound wrong on this CD and the singing of them might not be done with the worong motive but look at some of the people singing them. Should a country singer fresh out of rehab be abel to sing "i'll fly away?" Of coarse not that is pure hypocracy.
Customer Review: REALLY DISAPPOINTING!
Now here is a great collection of traditional hymns of praise & worship that you'd expect to be fabulous listening given the great voices offered on this cd. The problem lies in the really crappy arrangements. Here you will get to listen to LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS, arranged to sound like something you'd hear at a cocktail lounge! Songs whose tempo should be somewhat upbeat like, NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD, is slowed down to a really boring cadence that becomes just plain irritating. There are much, much better versions of all these sacred songs to be found on other recordings. The only one worth listening to is the last track: HE TOUCHED ME, by The Isaacs, and they couldn't mess up any song even if they tried. Save your money & skip this one.

The Gluten-Free Pantry Country French Bread Mix, 22-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)
A tasty, versatile mix that makes a crusty loaf in the large bread machine. By hand, this same dough can be breaded or turned into French loaves, or pizza crust.
Customer Review: Great crusty bread
This bread mix is by far my favorite. I have found that to get a true "french bread" experience, you have to use a baguette pan, which cooks it to the right consistency. Where it doesn't duplicate a crusty loaf tucked under your arm in paris, this is as good as it gets for us gluten-free folk, as far as I'm concerned.
Customer Review: My Favorite Bread-But "It Ain't French"!
I eat this bread all the time. I make a loaf and share it with my daughter so that we both have fresh bread, because it doesn't store for long. (Cool & wrap loaf in a clean kitchen towel & keep handy on the counter.) It's easy to make, tastes good, and the texture is great-if you don't think of it as French bread. (Which is why I only gave it four stars.) But it's the closest thing to a fresh homemade loaf of white bread that I've had since going gluten free! We love it.

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle
Bestselling author Barbara Kingsolver returns with her first nonfiction narrative that will open your eyes in a hundred new ways to an old truth: You are what you eat.

"As the U.S. population made an unprecedented mad dash for the Sun Belt, one carload of us paddled against the tide, heading for the Promised Land where water falls from the sky and green stuff grows all around. We were about to begin the adventure of realigning our lives with our food chain.

"Naturally, our first stop was to buy junk food and fossil fuel. . . ."

Hang on for the ride: with characteristic poetry and pluck, Barbara Kingsolver and her family sweep readers along on their journey away from the industrial-food pipeline to a rural life in which they vow to buy only food raised in their own neighborhood, grow it themselves, or learn to live without it. Their good-humored search yields surprising discoveries about turkey sex life and overly zealous zucchini plants, en route to a food culture that's better for the neighborhood and also better on the table. Part memoir, part journalistic investigation, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle makes a passionate case for putting the kitchen back at the center of family life and diversified farms at the center of the American diet.

"This is the story of a year in which we made every attempt to feed ourselves animals and vegetables whose provenance we really knew . . . and of how our family was changed by our first year of deliberately eating food produced from the same place where we worked, went to school, loved our neighbors, drank the water, and breathed the air."

Customer Review: Really bad prose
I loved all of Kingsolver's novels-- I considered her one of my favorite authors. But in this book I would describe her voice as alternately obsequious, shrill, corny, sappy, and yuk-yuk (you know that cartoon character who laughs that way). This was an extremely painful book to read. Her daughter's writing is pretty cloying too-- obviously she thinks very highly of herself for no other reason than the way she eats. The husband's writing wasn't bad, but he's no Michael Pollan. Oh God help me if I ever had to sit down to eat with these people.
Customer Review: Thank You...
Thank you for sharing this experience with us, Ms. Kingsolver. As one of my favorite authors I appreciate the invitation you've extended to learn of your personal experiences. I was delighted to meet your daughter Camille, and your husband, Steven. Both add intelligence, wit and insight into the fascinating subject you've detailed with your personal experience. I didn't want this book to end. This is a true account using personal anecdote and experience to explore ideas about food production, sustainable living and the relationship between industry and agriculture. There is gardening advice but it's not gardening book. This isn't a field guide or a how-to book unless it's how to expect the unexpected. I adored the book and I remain an earnest fan of Barbara Kingsolver and her work.

Country Choice Organic Irish Steel Cut Oats, Hot Cereal, 30-Ounce Canister (Pack of 6)
Country Choice Organic Oats, Irish Steel Cut, 30-Ounce Canister
Customer Review: Good oats, bad containers
These oats are fine and the price is quite competitive. The container is rather flimsy and did not stand up well to forces of shipping. You can submit a shipping rating; however, there is no opportunity to tell exactly what the problem was. The six containers were in a box which were put in a larger box with other items. There was not much packing in the larger box. The oatmeal containers were bent and one of the protective seals was actually broken.
Customer Review: Flimsy packaging
I was disappointed in the packaging as the Oats were in a simple plastic bag that was overfilled and a plain cardboard box that barely held together. When I opened the package, the oats spilled all over because the plastic bag ripped from the excessive bulge . I had to do a bunch of unnecessary cleanup that could have easily been avoided with proper packaging. Will not order any more oats unless vendor sends me a complementary package.

Country Grammar
With the No Limit and Cash Money crews having permanently seared the once-ignored Deep South into the hip-hop map, Nelly arrives to make a mark for the heretofore uncelebrated St. Louis scene. After outlining the rules of the game from lifestyle (gats, grass, and sex) to wardrobe (he cuffs his jeans like Beaver Cleaver), the rapper offers scenario after scenario depicting the gangsta world as one big party; he and his crew seem much more interested in fellatio than shootouts. The title single, which preceded this CD's release by months, is the clear standout with its low-rider groove, but the midtempo R&B-flavored flows of "Utha Side," "Greed, Hate & Envy," and "Steal Da Show" are also seductive. --Rickey Wright
Customer Review: it was for my daughter
I am not a big fan, but my daughter is. She loves the cd. thanks for shipping it timely and the condition was what was expected. many thanks
Customer Review: Nelly's best CD ever.

Good Old Country Gospel
Customer Review: Amazing
This is a great product, I would recommend it to anyone who loves country gospel like I do.
Customer Review: Country Gospel.
I've always liked country music in all its forms. One Sunday morning however I was driving to work and listening to the Aled Jones religious programme on Radio 2 when he played the Jerry Lee LEWIS gospel song, The Old Wooden Cross. I was blown away.I had never heared him sing that way before and thought it was beautiful, as did Aled Jones. I was determined to find out if I could get a copy. Sure enough it was available on Amazon,as part of the Good Old Country Gospel collection. It is brilliant.Believe it or not I am not particularly religious, But all the songs on this album are beautifully sang with obvious heartfelt feeling. A super album which will be played and played by me.

Vaughan Williams: Serenade to Music; The Lark Ascending; Fantasia on Greensleeves; English Folk Song Suite; In the Fen Country; Norfolk Rhapsody No. 1
Customer Review: a few facts and my opinion about these recordings
First, the facts: this CD is a welcome compilation of VW recordings made by Adrian Boult between 1967 and 1970, and culled from various LPs where they served as fillers or flip sides to collections. By chronological order, The Lark Ascending completed the 6th Symphony in 1967, Norfolk Rhapsody # 1 came with the 4th Symphony in 1968, In the Fen Country served as a filler for Symphony No. 3 that same year, Serenade to Music was the complement to the Fifth Symphony in 1969. Finally, Fantasia on Greensleeves and English Folk Song Suite came with Elgar's Enigma Variations in 1970. Three of Boult's customary orchestras are involved: London SO ('67 and '68), LPO ('69) and New Philharmonia ('70). TT on this CD is 65:42 and its good to have these tidbits (which were left out when EMI reissued the symphonies in the early days of the CD) gathered on a single disc. The compositions span roughly the first half of VW's compositional career, from 1904 (In the Fen Country, the first work he allowed to remain in his catalog, although in a version and instrumentation subsequently revised) to 1938 (Serenade to Music). Stylistically, they can be divided between VW's early impressionistic and atmospheric style, very much smacking of Delius and even Sibelius at times (In the Fen Country, Norfolk Rhapsody #1 from 1906), his lighter Folk-Song inspiration (English Folk Song Suite, originally written for military band in 1923 and here given in Gordon Jacob's arrangement for orchestra), and the pastoral and sentimental style of his middle years (The Lark Ascending, 1914 revised in 1920 and Serenade to Music, 1938), both with the typical, wailing solo violin (but I guess I've entered the realm of opinions, now) Opinions, then: interpretively, where comparisons are available to me, these versions from the older Boult (he was 78 in 1967) are a mixed bag. His Serenade to Music his commendable for being true to the original version and request of conductor Henry Wood for his Jubilee, with 16 vocal soloists, and for its superb cast, starting with the truly stellar soprano Norma Burrowes - an advantage over Bernstein, who also did the original version in 1962 (THE ROYAL EDITION - Vaughan Williams: Symphony 4 / Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis / Fantasia on 'Greensleeves' / Serenade to Music). Boult is also to be lauded for not over-sentimentalizing, unlike Bernstein through the adoption of an excessively slow opening tempo. But Bernstein's orchestra is much more present and dramatic at the climaxes; Boult misses many opportunities for bite, and his orchestra is at times distant, as if it had been recorded independently from the soloists, with the two later mixed together. That said, the layout I prefer is the one adopted by Malcolm Sargent, with four soloists and chorus (Vaughan Williams:Overture 'The Wasps'/Fantasia on 'Greensleeves'/Fantasia on a Theme by Tallis/Serenade to Music/ Toward the Unknown Region): the chorus has a silk in the softer passages and a power in the climaxes that, whatever their merits, 16 soloists simply cannot match, and the interplay between "ripieno" (soloists) and "continuo" (full chorus) comes out with much more drama. Unlike in the Serenade, it is not VW's original version that Boult plays in the Greensleeves fantasia but the arrangement by Ralph Greaves, which substitutes two flutes to the solo violin. I prefer the original for strings alone (with harps), because of its baroque Concerto Grosso flavor, with dialogues of ripieno and continuo. The original version is what Bernstein plays. Although here again Boult adopts an animated beginning tempo which avoids over-sentimentalizing the music (which doesn't need it), another questionable feature of his reading is his adoption of a very moderate tempo in the middle section (an elaboration of a Norfolk folk-tune), which robs it of any contrast with the framing Greensleeves theme and makes the piece into some kind of continuous, brooding dirge. Norfolk Rapsody # 1 (in case you wonder about # 2 & 3, the composer withdrew them) illustrates VW at his most impressionistic and atmospheric. The version by Normal Del Mar heading the City of Birmingham SO (Toward the Unknown) is slightly more animated than Boult's, rhythmically more precise and sonically more spacious. Contrary to some other reviewers, I prefer this recording of The Lark Ascending with Hugh Bean to Boult's earlier one, made in 1954 with Jean Pougnet (Vaughan Williams: Symphony No. 6 in E minor/ A Song of Thanksgiving/ The Lark Ascending or Vaughan Williams: Dona Nobis Pacem and Other Works): the incomparably better sonics, Boult's extra spaciousness and Bean's silky tone make a significant difference. These interpretive comments are meant for those who really care for these niceties. As they are, Boult's readings do not betray the compositions nor (except perhaps in the middle section of Greensleeves) give a distorted view of the music. The music remains enjoyable and entertaining, if not manifesting a striking compositional originality (one can only dream of what Britten might have done with Shakespeare's text in Serenade to Music), and given his strong association with the composer any Vaughan Williams recorded by Boult will be of significance. In my case, though, since I'm desperately trying to make shelve-room, the only reason for me to keep this disc is for The Lark Ascending and for the stellar cast in Serenade to Music - although I'm not very interested in the composition itself, which, despite its beautiful solo melismatas, I find excessively sentimental and cloying, and derivative in its language (of Wagner, Debussy's Pelleas, and I hear whiffs of Zemlinsky's Lyric Symphony or of Griffes" "The Pleasure Dome of Kublai Khan" as well). Short but informative liner notes
Customer Review: Voughn Williams Lark Acending
Not quite what I expected and not as good as I had hopped for. My Fault - not theirs

Hushabye Baby: Country Lullaby Renditions of Johnny Cash
When it's sleepy time but your little Punkin or Peanut won't hit the hay, try counting sheep with Hushabye Baby. We ve re-imagined Johnny Cash's best-loved songs as blanket-soft instrumental lullabies. The familiar melodies of Johnny's iconic hits are plucked on a well-worn guitar, while gentle percussion and warm pedal steel lull baby to sweet slumber.
Customer Review: Lullaby to Johnny Cash
This is so sweet and relaxing. I bougt it for my niece and I can't believe how cute it is. I want it for myself. It's kind of funny to hear Folsom PRison Blues for babies, but it totally works. My sister says her baby sleeps to it every night now.
Customer Review: Such a great baby gift!
I got this Hushabye Baby Johnny Cash CD as a baby gift for our son. It's lullabye versions of Classic Johnny Cash songs like Walk the Line and Folsom Prison Blues. My husband and I just love playing them for our little guy. The sound is so sweet. I will definitely be trying some of the other titles and giving them to my friends.
